Money saver!!
I own an air compressor and a Makita 18 gauge Brad nailer. Whilst this combination works just great, I was increasingly finding it cumbersome to lug the compressor/hose/extension to wherever I needed to nail something. So made the decision to go cordless. Unfortunately, my favourite brand Makita, was either too expensive or not rated very well at all. I then read multiple reviews from major tool brand reviews (user reviews, not manufacturers) that said the Ryobi cordless (battery) 16 gauge finish nailer was the dogs wotsits. Especially when compared to the price of top end makes (Makita, DeWalt etc). And they got around the need to invest in yet another battery/charger system by buying the naked tool and, you guessed it, a Badaptor. For less than a quarter of the cost of one proprietary battery and charger I can now use my numerous Makita batteries with my cordless nailer!!Not a lot to say about performance. It enables the connection between one make of tool to another make of battery. It works.....simple.And for that I can highly recommend it :-)P.S. Anyone wanna buy a used air compressor and Makita brad nailer? ;-)

Works well
Can't fault it. I'm on the Makita platform but their pin guns are rubbish and I don't really have much call for it so I didn't want to spend loads on it. So Ryobi was the correct choice. Seems robust and works. Couldn't ask for more (excuse the 3A battery I normally 5 or 6, this is an old retired battery I used for testing at home)

Handy to have
I generally use Makita tools but when I needed an 18g nail gun I opted for a Ryobi brushless one based on extensive reviews beforehand. Rather than buy into their battery system for a solitary tool I bought the Badaptor instead. It works very well but only connects 2 prongs of the Makita battery, so it's power only and no protection circuits. As it's a brushless tool and my use is unlikely to ever drain a battery I don't see a problem not having the protection circuits. The photos I've attached show the battery fitted, along with just the Badaptor itself. With it fitted but no battery it allows the nail gun to stand level. With a battery fitted the nail gun stands at an incline.Whilst some might argue its cost is high (£20), and it is for what it essentially is, the functionality and convenience it provides outweighs any price concerns. It's also well made, with clean edges, a good fit, and comes in decent packaging. It's a recommendation from me if you're on a dedicated battery platform and have a tool or two on a different one.

Simple, well made and effective!! Brilliant!!
What a fantastic idea! Managed to grab it on a one day special deal and glad I did. Such a simple idea, designed and made in the UK, and I can now use my Makita LXT batteries on my Ryobi tools, saving me buying more Ryobi batteries.Absolutely brilliant!!

Works well and saves money
I have bought two of these in order to use my Makita 18v batteries with the Ryobi stapler and the Ryobi nailer. All my power tools are Makita and I have a bunch of batteries so really didn’t want to start buying batteries and chargers for another platform. Problem solved easily and at a fair price.

Money saving
This is an excellent piece of kit for when you use one brand and their recharge batteries then need a different brand for another tool. Saves having to buy additional brand batteries and charger. Used Makita batteries to the Ryobi saving a packet on additional Ryobi kit. Easy fit and ready to go.
