Cheap welds and potential injury !!
Beware !! After only one month of very light use, the cheap weld broke and could have caused very extensive damage if it were under stress at the time. What a waste of money with high hopes of a quality product. See photos...

If you use work out bands like the bodylastics series (which are my favorite) this bar ...
If you use work out bands like the bodylastics series Bodylastics Strong Man Warrior Edition System (which are my favorite) this bar makes a huge difference in increasing the repertoire of exercises you can perform including lat pull downs, rows, chest press etc. The bar is a lot heavier than you would expect and is solidly made. It is not some flimsy plastic tube. My biggest complaint about working with bands that use carabiner style clips is that the carabiners often get caught up with your clothing or rub up against you during exercises which is terribly annoying. My favorite thing about using the bionic bar (which is wider than most people) is that the clips and the bands are away from your body and all you have to focus on is the movement itself. It makes the workout at home almost the same (if not better) than doing it at the gym. I'm now tempted to get the Bionic tri-grip handle next Bionic Body Tri-Grip Handle Exercise Strap, Black. If you have to choose between the two, I'd get the bar first as the tri-grip has fewer uses compared to the bar. If you use any kind of work out band with clips, this bionic bar is a no-brainer and frankly should be a must-have.

Dangerous Product - Beware!
Nearly caused a serious incident. There's no threading or anything holding the bar anchors at each end! The 10ft 20lb band using it with in a torso twist flew out and nearly slammed into a nearby person. Absolutely would never buy again or recommend to ANYBODY!

Great Wide Grip Exercise Bar.
Outstanding exercise bar. I was a little concerned about the "connection point" between the two disassembled halves (i.e., strength). Note that these two "halves" screw together via fine machine threading (vs. course thread) about 15/16" into each other creating a joint that is actually the strongest/thickness point in the assembled unit. However, you need to be careful (and patient) on the initial assembly so you don't cross-tread the two pieces due to the fine treading that is engineered into the joint area. Then after the first assembly, the two pieces go together much easier (at least that was the case with the exercise bar that I received). When assembled, this Bionic Body Exercise Bar is 35.75" long (end of each grip) and has a 38" overall length. Separately a 19.4375" male and 19.5" female piece are used. Overall weight is approximately 3.6 pounds and the padded grips are each about 9.375" long and have a 1.125" O.D measurement. In summary, this as a great addition to my Bodylastics Strong Man Warrior Edition resistance band set-up. Note that I have also incorporated a smaller exercise bar from Mind Body Fitness which is 18" long and has a centered band attachment for any narrow grip exercises.

Helps give bands a free weight feel
I was a free weight guy for years. As I've gotten older, I've developed joint issues and arthritis, had a couple of accidents that required surgery, etc. Working out with weights has become difficult. A physical therapist suggested resistance bands at home and they have been helpful. But the individual hand grips never feel right. So I thought I'd give this bar a shot to get more of a barbell feel. Gotta say it's better than I expected. This bar has some weight to it. I was afraid it would be just a hollow tube. But it feels solid, good grips on it. Really helps the exercises feel more natural. Squats and overhead press are much better, I feel more stable than with the handles. Big improvement.ETA: The only reason I'm taking off a star is I wish the bar was a little longer but that's just a personal preference. No criticism of the bar itself.

I highly recommend this piece of equipment
This is my 2nd Bionic Body Bar (the 1st was stolen). I'm a big fan of constant resistance and this is a master at providing it. I most often use the bar to perform "pump sets" of squats, reverse lunges, and step-ups in between other lower body exercises. Other uses include using it to warm-up on leg day or at the end of the workout on leg day to get a "burn out". My sister uses it to work upper body.I highly recommend this piece of equipment. I get questions about it at the gym all the time. I invested in a squat pad because the bar on the neck and shoulders can be kind of bothersome for those who have under developed traps (the same issue as with a regular barbell on the back). My only suggestion would be for Bionic Body to make a platform to attach the clips to versus a user having to use their foot to anchor the bar.

No instructions/exercise guide
No instructions or exercise guide included. I think mine may have been used because the tape looked like someone opened it and taped it back up. It had the bar pieces (x2) included with a warning consult your doctor before exercising piece of paper but that is all. So what do I do with it? I don’t want to search for YouTube videos and watch for hours on end to fine what I want. So basically I got a bar and I have no idea what to do with it. My time is valuable and for that I’d rather spend more money for a product with instructions included. Advice to manufacture: have a poster included with exercises. Perfect for end users. As-is I’m very disappointed with this purchase.
