Seems to install and work well.
This module appears to be good quality, and claims to be better than the older comparable modules. Mine works fine so far, but hasn't been in operation long enough to assess its long-term reliability and durability, so I hesitated to give it a 5-star rating at this point.

Bad, very bad quality
It did not work at all. The push button fell off, I reinstalled it, but the remote feature never worked. It only operates when I activate the switch manually, thus to turn it off I would have to go to the shed were I installed, +/- 100' to turn it off. I did that twice and since then I have never turned on. Really bad quality.

Works well. I like the soft on and off feature and that you can dim and brighten from the wall switch.

feature can also be a problem
This is NOT exactly the same as the older X-10 wall switch. The new switch has a dimming feature that can be controlled directly from the lightswitch pushbutton. That can be the problem: It's really easy to "mis-push" the button and get into trouble with the dimmer feature. When I installed the switch, I thought it was defective. I had to read the instructions before I learned how to operate the switch correctly. Yes - it's a switch that you have to "learn how to operate". READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before installing.main points: quick push of the button DIMS the lights on/off (as opposed to instant on/off). pushbutton is not on & off, but rather "previous dim level" & off. pushbutton dimming control alternates the direction it dims: one "push & hold" will brighten, the next "push & hold" will dim.
