Took a bit to get it paired, but it does what I need!
Just arrived today. Took me about an hour of playing with it to figure out how to use it and to get it set up. I have a Galaxy S9. It works pretty good with Daydream app. I tried it with the Netflix VR app. There were a few times where the pointer got out of alignment, but all you have to do is hit one of the two buttons to reset the alignment. So far it is the only controller, for the price, to do what I need it to do which is to watch movies and navigate without having to constantly remove the headset. I can tell that I'm going to get a good bit of use out of this one. Note....this review is based on the price and performance. I am sure there are much better ones out there, but for the most part....does exactly what I need.

Tough to pair, but it works!
Took me a while to get this paired properly, but it does seem to work with the Google daydream app. Here's how I did it in case it helps anyone else.First I paired the controller with my phone on the Android Bluetooth menu (like you would any other Bluetooth device). Then I opened the settings in that menu and turned off the "input device" switch (not sure if this was necessary). Then I opened the daydream app. The pairing process here was stuck in a loop for me. It would look for the controller then quickly flash a screen that said it was done with a continue button, but then jump back to looking for the controller. I got past this by repeatedly tapping the location where the continue button was going to appear. After a few tries it went on and everything seemed to work.
