Cats Rule Replacement Filter for Fountain, 3-Pack

I bought the little fountain with the frog on it and love it. Would have bought the one with the fish but wasn't aware that it existed. Anyway, the fountain seemed to be having a problem so took it apart and saw that the filter looked not so good. Turned the filter upside down and ran good for a week or so before I installed the second filter that came with the unit. It ran soooo much better! Got on the PC and ordered these replacement filters. Will be keeping a better eye on the fountain and plan to always have a package of these on hand.By the way, I was totally unaware that cats have a perception problem with water in a stagnant bowl hence the need for a fountain. I haven't had a cat since I was a teenager in the dark ages so who knew - my sister did. He does drink from the fountain - and so do the dogs sometimes - and he paws at the dog bowl and also drinks from it when it might aggravate the dogs.

These filters are for the Frog Water Fountain. They fit perfectly and can be rinsed off with water if they are not too soiled and then can be used again. They keep the water in the fountain crystal clear. I recommend you to buy these filter when the fountain needs to be maintained.

Too expensive for what it is, I think you could make your own for a lot cheaper...but I’m not that creative. And these filter don’t last long. But you HAVE to use these in your frog or fish Cats Rule watering fountain. When the filter gets gross and scuzzy, your fountain will let you know by sputtering and making a terrible noise. What I do is take out the filter and wash it really good with soap and water and a tiny bit of bleach. But you HAVE to use soap, just rinsing with water won’t cut it. Sometimes it only lasts for a few days, then you gotta wash it again. And yes, I take the whole fountain apart and wash all the pieces weekly. Also, one of the filters in my 3 pack wasn’t constructed well, it wasn’t glued evenly together so there was a small seam opening that charcoal can shake out from. I used it anyway, just put the torn side on top. Just seems like $5 per little filter is way overpriced to me. But my cats loves this fountain so much, I’ll keep paying it if it’ll keep my boy happy.

It was very bad choice because the filters and sending me out expensive, and are not very good quality versus price.

These are awesome you do need to replace one every couple months though. I rinse mine out real good when I clean the fountain about once a week or at least once every 2 wks. I purchased the frog fountain for my two cats with the lily pad underneath. One is really picky about having running water from the sink when I got her this she no longer has to jump up on the sink and make it dirty. The only reason I gave it 4 is I keep these in my cart an when they are 9 dollars buy a couple of them if not they jump up to $20 an I'm not paying 20 for 3 filters. Because sometimes I receive a pack an I can use one for 1-3 mths keeping the fountain clean other times I receive a pack an it won't last a couple weeks to a month with out falling apart! All in all for $9 there good!

The filters fit perfectly for the frog "Cat's Rule" fountain. I could not find a cheaper place to buy replacement fountain filters. I bought my frog fountain from Target 2 years ago.

They fit great and work but they clog too fast for how much they cost. Love the fountain. Wish the company would make the price of the filters reasonable. Otherwise I may switch brands that save money in the long run.
