High quality, great upgrade. Great instructions
Very high-quality materials are obviously well planned and machined extremely well. This is not exactly an easy project for someone without any tinkering experience but the instructions are suitable for even a novice which is respectable. I would have rated it higher except my kit did not come with instructions although they were very easy to find on YouTube from this company

Amazing Product...
I do not think that I ever purchased a kit that was more complete or had included more thorough instructions (which are available online for download). The kit has every single thing you need for installation (even cotton swabs for applying the thread locker and the o-ring lubricant, as well as a twist tie for holding the vacuum pot actuator arm out of the way). A few things to note.A) When you disconnect the electrical connection, it may be difficult to see where the retaining clip is on the connector. It is on the intake manifold side of the electrical connector (so if you are in the DS of the car...it is behind the electrical connection). Unlike BMW coolant hoses, push the wire clip into the connector to disconnect.B) When you are removing the valve and unscrewing the T40 screws, make sure that you undue to correct screws. There is one toward the back of the DISA valve that is easy to see. But the one in the middle has an identical T40 screw right below it that is used to hold on a bracket under the DISA valve. It is the same size and length as the T40 used on the DISA valve. I removed that it by mistake it took me a minute to figure out why the valve was not coming out. And the correct screw is a little bit tricky to see, as it is about .75 inches above the bracket screw but hidden in a recess. So if you are looking from an angle above the DISA, you can miss it.C) My DISA was in really good shape. So (unfortunately I guess) the pin that held my flapper valve was REALLY tight. The instructions tell you to pry the old one out with a small screw driver. I tried for about 10 minutes but it as not budging and it was starting to damage the frame in which the flapper valve rotates. So I used a pair of diagonal wire cutters to start to cut away the valve a little at a time (it is easy). And eventually you start to cut away the plastic into which the pin is pressed as the pin just falls out. So be careful with this. If your pin is that tight, I can imagine you breaking the frame in which the DISA flapper rotates...and then you would need to buy a new valve.Again...amazing kit. And the components are incredible. THe aluminum bellcrank and flapper valve are works or art...and it includes a TITANIUM screw and washer. Astounding quality.

Nice Product for Peace of Mind
The product was ordered, received and installed somewhat as described by the vendor. The only problem I had was getting the DISA out of my 2005 X3 - -extremely tight area. Had some disassembly before I could get to the DISA. The electrical connector has a metal clip on the back bottom and is hard to see -- that took 20 minutes to figure out and remove. Easy day once we saw the metal clip on the back side. The directions just say remove the electrical connector plug. Had to almost force the DISA out of the intake manifold by twisting it up and back (BMW X3). Thought I was going to break the DISA. Afterwards, the rebuild took about 20-30 minutes and I have some mechanical skills but was unfamiliar with this repair as most would be. 15 minutes as described is for an expert or assuming your components come apart easily. My DISA was surprisingly in good shape with 107,000 miles on it. So, everything was still tightly together and was hard to disassemble (not a bad thing). Cleaned everything up, finished the install, and started it up with no problems. I have a few hundred miles since the rebuild and all seems to be well (knock on wood). Glad I did the repair for peace of mind. Suggestion: READ and RE-READ the directions before you start and understand the pre disassembly to get to the DISA!!! If it continues to operate without problems in the futrure, I would give it 5-stars. To early to tell.

Great upgrade to weak OEM components.
The product was quality designed, engineered and arrived as described. Head and shoulders above the OEM components and easy to install. Honestly, the instructions made it seem more daunting than it actually was. Just be mindful when removing components as they stated and don't leave anything behind and you will be good to go.

Well made kit
My kit arrived promptly, well stocked with all the needed components and additional grease/loctite. Install is very straight forward and the quality of the components is eons better than the oem components (understandably). Kept me from having to replace the whole valve or install one of the less reliable plastic valve kits. Should be no problem for experienced mechanics and novices alike as the provided instructions are extremely thorough.

A good buy
Debated between buying a new disa valve or this kit. Checking out my existing I could tell that the stock disa wasn't well designed and wasnt crazy about putting another in - the plastic spindle had sheared clean off and the flapper was just knocking around. This kit turned it into a much more solid unit but you do have to take a chance that the vacuum and internal diaphragm on your existing are still in good shape which they usually are. Very happy with this so far.

Excellent product! Removal of the DISA valve was a ...
Excellent product! Removal of the DISA valve was a bit disgruntling in my 04 X3, there is virtually no room to remove that sucker. Putting the repair kit together was simple yet tedious, and reinstallation was slightly easier than removing it. My DISA was in excellent shape surprisingly (93K on the clock) so the gasket was probably the worst to remove and I probably should have just reused my original since it was in good shape. Many thanks and looking forward to the GAS lifetime CCV replacement.. hurry up already hahha! GAS might also consider a modification to the Intake Air Boot which is also notorious for cracking.. that is next on the list of repairs.

if your disa is old and outdated, buy this kit. it will save you slot of money and your car will run so much better, im pretty sure installing can throw a check engine light but get a code reader and clear the code and it will all be okay. a new disa is 150$ on fcp and this kit is double the quality of oem.
