James and the Giant Peach - Literature Kit Gr. 3-4 - Classroom Complete Press (Literature Kits Grades 3-4)

I absolutely love these literature kits. We've done James and the Giant Peach and Matilda so far in our homeschool journey and they really help with detail retention and making kids look at things from the characters point of view. They ask how would you feel if you were in this situation and how would you handle it. None of the questions have been too difficult or pointless and they give you interesting writing prompts to journal. I will definitely be buying more, probably The Witches and Little House in the Big Woods next.

I used this book as part of my homeschooled (3rd grade-ish) son's curriculum. I have used a few different novel study guides by different publishers and I liked this one the best. It is perfect for a student to work on pretty independently. Some novel studies are better for classroom use where there are many students contributing to projects. This is more of a comprehension, vocab, and critical thinking workbook for the student than a teacher's guide for projects. I will definitely use more of these kits in the future!

This was very disappointing. It was not even worth the $12.00 I paid for it. My sister said she would not have paid more than $3.00! A literature kit also means there is a book with the package. This was all reading comprehension! I am highly upset and very disappointed in amazon and the description on this item. I want my money back!
