We have had Ewan for a week now and I am not sure if we are going to keep it or send it back. It is very aesthetically pleasing: soft, cute sheep face (biggest attractant for me), velcro tail let's you strap it to the crib railing. The light is what I wanted mostly as our now 4mo old enjoys a light to look at while he settles in his crib for sleep at night.What has me thinking about sending it back?1. The shushing sound is a very generic electronic white noise sound. It's louder than my ears like but it does seem effective on a stiring baby. However, it has not once been activated by my baby crying at any distance from it, as the device advertises. It is currently hung up at the foot of his crib.2. There are several reviews about defective battery boxes or the thing heating up. Somehow I didn't see any of those until after the thing arrived, so I kept it in eye sight, checking it by touch everytime it was running and after, for 2 days before hanging it in the crib. Positive note, mine hasnt seemed to heat up after the ~20 minutes run time.3. I was surprised it didnt come with batteries.4. I could have bought a real sheep for what this thing cost! at almost $40....it's an expensive novelty! We have a little casting dinosaur light that is just as bright and came from the dollar store. Until Ewan arrived that is what we turned on, set on the crib rail and it had the same effect of distracting our light junkie babe until he passed out.The kid doesnt care, and the money is spent 🤷‍♀️

I bought this as a gift for my 3 mo old nephew. He’s had it a few days and today I had a chance to use it while babysitting. Ewan seems to do the job, the harp was lovely and the womb sounds put us both to sleep, lol! When my little guy got fussy, I put Ewan in the carrier on baby’s belly and the baby settled down (the womb sounds produce a slight vibration). Couldn’t ask for more. Plus, the price on Amazon is better than other retailers.

Love this little guy! He keeps my baby girl company in her car seat and you can tell she doesn’t like it when he turns off. The setting that turns him on if the baby cries is cool, but it’s pretty sensitive and turns on at almost any noise so we don’t use it, but that would be good for trying to get a baby back to sleep in a quiet room. I really like that the tail is basically just a long Velcro strap so you can secure it to almost anything.

I used to help sleep train my 7month old. Everything works fine. I wish the cry sensor was longer than 4 hours when they start sleeping longer stretches but still wake up.

We have four kids. I wish we had discovered this thing with the first instead of the fourth. I've now bought 5 of these in the last few years as baby shower gifts. Excellent miracle sleep 🌚 making machine.

Soft, nice sound options

This is the second Ewan I have ordered , my grandson loves it and has had it since birth, he sleeps with every night and every nap. When starting nursery I bought this to go with him and have something really familiar for naps, great success, he settles easily and is really happy.
