Good product that definitely helps protect the major design flaws in the Apple 85-Watt Power Source for MacBook Pro with retina that Apple just refuses to fix. (The fact that Apple design team has not reinforced the cord stress points makes no sense.)The product is good and works well.The documentation included with the product is not well done, and layout of the instructions aren't good, and the pictures look like they were drawn in a 'differently abled' primary school class (I think that's the 'PC'--pun intended since this is a Mac product--way to say that.)However, the video instructions to install the product on the manufacture's website (which are included with the paper insert instruction) are quite good and helpful.Personally, I would install this on a new power pack, but I would not install it on a well-used or well-worn power pack (or a power pack that has already been frayed or is exhibiting connection/charging issues). The reason is that putting this protective product on the power pack stress the very vulnerable connection points. A brand new power pack can take the significant stress needed to apply the Fray Fix--but I wouldn't try this on a unit that is well trail-worn or already showing signs of damage.

I have purchased two Fray Fix combo packs; one each for my son's Macbook Pro Retina and daughter's Macbook Pro. Attaching the Fray Fix product to each of the magsafe power adapters went very smoothly and should hopefully extend the useful life of these power adapters as the added stress relief should alleviate if not prevent premature cable damage.
