They aren't useless, but they don't work as well as I'd ...
They help block heavy breathing that's not quite snoring but actual snoring from your sleeping partner will still come through these plugs. Still, they are earplugs that do reduce noise but will still allow you to hear your high pitched alarm as they seem to block lower frequency sounds preferentially. They aren't useless, but they don't work as well as I'd hoped they would.

These are very good for sleeping
These are very good for sleeping. The only problem I had was getting the plug out of my ear fast when the phone is ringing. I will work on that.

Did Not Last...
Well I've got to say I am disappointed in these...Up until this point I had been using just some cheap foam ones from the store. Looking around at all the options I wanted to get a set of good earplugs that I could reuse and that would last awhile. When I got these they worked fairly well, not as noise blocking as the foam ones. This was alright, however, as these were designed to let in some noise (for alarms, etc). Not long into using these daily (for sleep) I noticed that the largest of the rings started to get "wavy" as though it were starting to melt or dehydrate (I'll try to attach a picture to show what I mean). At first I didn't mind it much as they seemed to be working fine.Maybe a month into using these the earplugs became so "wavy" that they started to get stuck inside my ears - as the outer ring was no longer wide enough to keep it from going in further. On top of that they seemed to not work as well canceling noise anymore...In an attempt to fix the "wavy" problem I folded the outer ring inside out - to stretch the material. A couple times doing this didn't seem to help any and eventually one of the rings ripped...I had high hopes for these, especially given the higher price, but I'm afraid that the disposable foam ones worked better overall and I can get a bunch of them on Amazon for cheap.

Best out there. I've tried dozens. None keep out the noise. Except these.
PERFECT! NO NOISE GETS THOROUGH EXCEPT MY ALARM. I've tried dozens, to no effect. Background noise gets through, they fall out, or don't even work a little bit. I have very large ear canals, and have to really push these into my ear. I carry a small pair of tweezers to use to remove them. Since I figured out the secret of how to get them far enough in, and use the tweezers to get them out, it's been golden. If I push them in enough, no noise at all gets in!! Which is great, since I work at night and sleep all day. They are well worth every penny.

but only if inserted far into the ear - then the stem is too short to easily remove them
I'm looking for a set of ear plugs that complete block sound. I had a pair that did that but left them in a hostel in England and have not been able to find the same brand. These block a lot of noise, but only if inserted far into the ear - then the stem is too short to easily remove them.

size does matter
I'm sure these are great for some people, but since they kept falling out of my rt ear, and the left felt kind of unset in my ear(like unsealed)I couldn't say for sure. I need a bigger size for sure. These are tiny!

Wish I would have found this sooner in my life!
I works graveyard and any noises during the day will wakes me up like family members, delivery knocking on the door etc. Until I came across this brand of ear plugs. It doesn't fall out of your ears when sleeps all over the bed, almost works like a good pair of noise cancelling headsets for your music it is that good. I'm still trying get used to having something in my ears while asleep but I think it's very beneficial then a little discomfort. And one little draw back it's taking little longer to recognize the alarm is actually going off lol

WAY over priced. really only blocks out a narrow range of noise. these are for limited use in environments that certain sounds are aggravating.NOT for sleep or airplane etc where you want blocking.
