What about power source? Batteries or charger?

There is a charing cord included. It looks like my iPhone charging cord. You have the smaller end that plugs into the Tectonic unit and the other end plugs into a USB port. I have had this unit for a while and have not even had to charge it yet, so the battery last much longer than my phone does on a single charge

Can you grind pills to powder? My dog hates taking pills and I need to crush it and put on his food.

Honestly a credit card over the pill and a few pounds of the bottom of this grinder will probably works better

Does the spout fit the Hydrology9?

Yes, works fine. It doesn’t fit in the hole, but if it did you wouldn’t be able to see how full it is. It is just slightly bigger and I have no problem filling it with no waste.
