I bought these to replace an older set on my stairs that never really worked well and ate batteries for lunch. These are smaller AND brighter than my old ones. The motion detection is very sensitive. Sometimes walking past the stairs will trigger them. That may bother some people. I suspect it has more to do with where I placed them so I’ll experiment at some point. I have left the battery life with no stars for now because I’ve only had them for a week. If I’m forced to rate them I’ll go three but its a ‘soft’ three until we’ve gone out a few months

These little lights are great. They put out a surprising amount of light for their size. Motion detection works well. Easy to install with self-adhesive pads already attached. Battery changes are easy, too--the main unit just slides off the mounting plate. They will probably prevent many stubbed toes or worse, as we use them in many places around the house to avoid switching on the lights at night, especially when others are sleeping.

Reviewing after almost one year of use, and these little stick on lights have been a great investment!!I keep a set of rechargeable batteries plugged in all the time, and even with the cats running up and down all night (and therefore activating the lights way more than what would be typical), I only have to switch the batteries out every few weeks. No big deal.We have a split level, so 2 sets of 10 stairs, and there’s no outlet on either level. When we removed the baby gates, we were faced with 2 daunting voids of kid-danger. These lights have been a great solution. I’ve had several overnight guests ask for the link. Highly recommend.

Easy to install or move around (I use Alien Tape). Good light…. This new version is even brighter. Good battery life. We have them all over the house and don’t have to turn on any lights if we get up in the middle of the night. Haven’t had one fail in over 2 years… that’s good.

Live in a 200 yr old house back stairway going upstairs is dark an steep put 1 of these on wall an lites up entire stairway motion detection is on from a good distance away..very easy to change out batteries just slide front light off as opposed to having to take whole light down an than try to put back up...

This was a perfect solution for lighting our staircase. We have a historical home with limited outlets, so the battery operated lights were great! I purchased command strips separately to install (due to having plaster walls), but the adhesive that is included seems like it would not damage most surfaces. The lights are considerably bright and I only needed three of them for a full staircase. I will definitely be installing them in more areas of our house! Batteries are not included.

These are perfect and provide ample lighting. I bought a 2nd set. I put one in each bathroom, so we don't have to turn the overhead lighting on in the middle of the night.

Love this light. Perfect sensitivity and not too bright of a light.
