Engrossing and fun for kids
My eight year old grandson, who loves mythology, devoured this book in two sittings and is asking for Spinner's follow-up, Quiver. He is a pretty advanced reader, but this is a fun book that kept him engrossed.

Nice little book
This book has a story relate to mythology. However, it is a light one. Not so much history, mostly focusing on jokes and character thought. I think it's good for young kids and ESL.

Summer Favorite
I gave this book to my 12 year old daughter this summer, and she devoured it in 2 days. She also proclaimed it her favorite book of the summer (and she read a LOT of books!)

Good for mythology buffs, but. . .
I had hoped to see either more original content or more content geared toward the YA crowd. It was a lot of Greek myth stories told from Hermes perspective, but nothing beyond that. It was okay for what it was, but it did not "wow" me. Probably recommend to those who most enjoy the Greek myths without the author taking a lot of the Percy Jackson-type liberties.

Super review from my grand daughter.
I bought this book for my Grand daughter's summer reading assignment. She loves to read and finished the book in one sitting...speed reader, no doubt.

Greek mythology
A not-too-hard to read book about ancient Greece with a new twist on the Atalanta story. A good read; good action; straightforward plot.

Stop glamorizing r*pe
I don't understand why this book glamorizes r*pe. The main character is drugged/ roofied [shot with an "arrow of Eros"], wakes up after her honeymoon, when her husband/r*pist confesses that he drugged her, she immediately forgives him and lives happily ever after with him. How is this an appropriate message for young readers?

an okay read
Enjoyed the main story. Read in one night. However the ending is horrendous. I'm actually annoyed at the naf ending! Seems like the writer just became bored with the story so turns people into lions....yup....lions.
