Outstanding Dome Camera
The media could not be loaded. This review is for the WiFi PTZ HD 5MP Wireless Waterproof Security Surveillance IP Dome Camera with 4X Optical Zoom IR Night Vision,Support Motion Detection ONVIF Protocol and SD Card Slot.Pros: Video Quality, Picture Quality, Ease of Installation, App layout is clean and logical.Cons: Not really. The app has some strange wording on the Preset Position page but I assume that is the language barrier. It should read something like: "Set Pos" and "Go Pos"This camera is an excellent first buy and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Mind you, I setup this camera without reading the manual. I used the manual for the QR code to download the app. Everything is just self-evident if you have any tech in you.The first thing you will need to remember to do is to unscrew the dome and insert a micro-SD card into the reader. This is for storing recorded video. In the app, you will have the option to copy the video to your phone. In the event of an alarm, you have the options to send the capture to Email or FTP.I got a ladder and mounted the mounting plate, place the camera on it and secured it and then ran the power cord. This is my second camera, first dome flush mount version of the YoLuke camera. Since this is a dome camera, the cord comes out of the center of the camera. This is not a problem because the mounting bracket has space for the cord when you mount it. You will first screw down the base bracket, which has three holes. The camera has the corresponding adjustable screws coming from the top that will twist and lock into the mounting bracket. Once this is complete, you can run the power cord to the power source.I mounted this camera in the backyard under our deck. My favorite feature is the human form detection and tracking. The camera follows the detected human form. Once it goes out of sight, the camera will return to its previous position. One feature I would like to have, which I have not found in the app is to have the camera scan a defined area.Alarm management and notification has detail features to include:Receive alarm pushMotion detection alarmAudible alarmHumanoid alarmAlarm recording to SD cardWhen the alarm is triggered, the device issue a sirenAlarm capture sent to E-mailAlarm capture recording to FTPAlarm capture saved to FTPNumber of pictures takenThe other categories under the Settings (the cogwheel)Wireless settingChange PasswordVideo SettingsAudio SettingsSD card plan recordingSD card settingsTime settingDefault settingDevice Information. As you can see, this is a full feature camera and my somewhat paranoid wife feels much safer because of it.

My first dome camera – Close to perfect
The media could not be loaded. The camera was delivered within 2 days and in great shape. The YoLuke packaging ensured the camera could withstand the rigors of shipping.Previously, I bought another Yoluke camera so I have the CamHipro app already installed on my iPad. Therefore, it was easy to use the app to add the camera to it and to my Wifi LAN.I have all my cameras installed in Blue Iris to monitor and control them, and that was my intention here. In fact, I specifically researched that to ensure it was compatible with Blue Iris (INVIF) before I bought it. Plus, I just went through a process of converting almost all of my security cameras to PoE (Power Over Ethernet), so I have done that with this camera even though it’s built as Wifi, not PoE. It just requires a splitter and it worked perfectly. This is the first dome camera I have bought so I was looking forward to mounting it in my basement. It’s an indoor/outdoor camera but I have others already mounted outside, so that’s why I chose my basement. The mounting hardware for this camera is designed to be mounted on a ceiling and to have a hole drilled there to connect to the cables from the camera. However, I needed to have the cables accessible on the side which made mounting the camera a little more difficult. I included a picture in this review to show how the cable should be placed before mounting and another picture showing what it looks like after mounting. As you can see in those pictures, I chose to attach the round bracket to a wooden plate and then attach the plate to the beam, rather than attaching the bracket to the beam. I found this to be easier. However, the easiest would be if you just drill a hole in the ceiling and then attach the bracket, if you have that option. There is a separate mounting hardware product on Amazon that allows the camera to be attached to a wall instead of the ceiling. It allows the cable to have access from the side. I didn’t purchase that. The video shows day and night views of my basement while exhibiting the 360 degree pan range of the camera. The camera is pretty high quality, especially for the price. Since I use Blue Iris, I don’t use the SD card or the app, but it provides a great image, as you can see by the video I included. The only minor flaw I can find is a small halo reflection that shows up when night vision (infrared) is used. Apparently, the reflection is created inside the dome shell so it moves with the camera as it pans and tilts. However, as I said, it is a minor issue. You can barely see it in the video. There is one other factor that I consider important to my rating of an electronic product, such as a camera: tech support. I have to say that Joanna is very attentive and competent at supporting her YoLuke cameras, so I am quite happy with that. I did contact her about the reflection. So, all in all, I am giving this camera 5 stars. Technically, I would actually rate this 4 and a half stars due to the reflection mentioned above, but Amazon doesn’t allow half stars.

DO NOT PURCHASE. SEE REVIEW UPDATES
I have several outdoor rated security cameras around my home. I was looking for one that had Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) capabilities along with a true HD quality image. After much research I decided to replace one of the older cameras at my home with this YoLuke. It is very well built, has outstanding true HD picture image and a very good PTZ features. It mounted easily in the spot of my old camera and looks better (not as noticeable)The only thing I do not like about it are all the "extra" cables in case you want to do a hardwire in lieu of a wifi connections. Once it is mounted you have to figure out where to put the unneeded cables.I would highly recommend this unit!UPDATE: I have to lower my review to a 2 star and can no longer recommend them. After about two month and additional camera purchased, they have a problem of dropping the WiFi connection. Once they drop the WiFi connection they must be unplugged and rebooted in order to reconnect. I have added WiFi extenders (2 of them) but nothing has helped. I also have other camera brands in the house and they do not lose the WiFi connection, nor do any other devices. It is clearly the cameras.Tech support from the company is lacking and difficult.UPDATE #2: Since my last update one camera has completely crapped out. It will NOT connect to the WiFi at all, hence forth, is totally useless.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE CAMERAS.
