Love it
I put squared hard boiled eggs in my husbands lunch without saying anything. When he asked what they were I told him they were from boring, party-pooper chickens. He didn’t get it. What a letdown. But the egg cuber? Most definitely not a letdown! The trick is to use jumbo eggs. After you peel them, when the eggs are still hot-warm, put one in. Tighten it. Put it in the fridge on a paper towel (it’ll leak water out, trust me) for 10-20 minutes. Pop it out and you have a little white cube. Repeat.Unless you have the patience of a saint, are only cooking a few eggs at a time, or strategically hard boil your eggs in batches spaced a half hour apart, you’ll need more than one of these! Since the eggs have to be hot or warm, there’s a limited window of squarpportunity to work your shape-shifting magic. This product works best when you buy it in secret, hide it from your family and only use it when no one is around, so you can tell all kinds of wild stories about how their eggs became squarey pillows of mystery..

Awesome yet junk..awesome junk...
If you need or want a square hard boiled egg, this is for you. Works exactly how the instructions on the box said. Drop a peeled but still warm hard boiled egg (larger eggs are better, you are not going to be able to square a quail egg) in the cuber, then put it in the fridge, then presto...you have a square egg. I have no idea why I bought this. It's not practical. You can only make one egg at a time. Still, I love this thing. I plan to buy at least one more, I guess I need to square my squares.

Works great mostly
Everything works as advertised. If your eggs are a bit on the small side, you may get a hybrid cube oval. Not much to do but use larger eggs next time. My only complaint is the screw top threading. It gets a bit rough near the bottom, sometimes wonder if it will unscrew. A wing or handle on top would be nice too. It feels like you have to grip the threads that are barely sticking up to unscrew it. Anyway, still like using it and can't wait to make a mess of deviled eggs. Need a trick to center yours while cooking to make them perfect

I bought an egg squarer in the 1970s and have had fun with it ever since
For those flummoxed by eggs that roll off plates or tables, here's the solution: a way to make hard boiled eggs square. Now you can baffle your friends and worry your enemies by serving square eggs at your next buffet. I bought an egg squarer in the 1970s and have had fun with it ever since; it finally punked out, but an English manufacturer took up the gauntlet and you can still get the classic egg squarer -- in slightly less heavy plastic but basically the same product in the same colour. Square eggs will MAKE your picnic lunch or buffet.

Inefficient design for the lid - still 100% functional
The lid is flushed to the main chassis making it hard to twist. Still functions as it should but if your hand is wet then it might be hard when it's slippery

DEVILED EGGS
This gives Easter a new twist on hard boiled eggs!! A friend mentioned 2 me that his mother had a square egg mold in the 60's & I was so shocked I had never seen or heard of one!! It's a complete blast!! Every kitchen needs one! I was so delighted (but not terribly surprised) that Amazon had them available!!! YAY

Too big for XL
It did make eggs in a different shape, but I bought XL eggs and it still wasn’t big enough for this thing. The eggs turned out rounded, not really cubed. Kinda cubed, definitely not the shape of an egg, but more importantly definitely not a cube lol. I don’t expect sharp edges but it was super round.
