Overall: Charger performs well and holds its charge despite going unused for extended periods of time. EXCELLENT customer service by Planet Rush team which is what makes the 4 star product deserve 5 stars.Construction:Despite description of being waterproof, the seals that cover the charging and USB ports are not secure by any means making this water resistant only, and likely will get damaged if submersed. The unit is made of rubberized hard plastic with a lightweight rubber surround for grip. Feels very sturdy, but not in breakable should it be dropped. Unit comes with a very very short USB charging cable and lightning adapter. Note that the unit is lighter in weight than others of similar power capacity making it easier to carry around.Performance: The charger works as described. On a full charge with lapse of time in between uses, it was able to recharge my iPhone 5s battery approx 3.5 times. Time to recharge varies depending on which USB port used as the output speed is higher (2A) from the second port. The flashlight function is useful as a small personal light and also has a couple strobe option settings. It is similar or less in strength to the iPhone flashlight, but as expected since it does not need to function as a flash for photos. Solar charging works fine and my only concern would be that the charger could get too hot being housed in black and left in the hot sun, but so far no issues.Customer Service: communication from Planet Rush team is excellent. I started receiving emails immediately after the order was placed and received even more contact and communications after they were made aware about some issues encountered with my order. All were addressed immediately and professionally.

I had ordered this product and received it several months ago. It's a great concept, especially for those who travel. After trying to use it for a few weeks, I found that it just wouldn't hold a charge. So, I contacted Planet Rush and explained that it did not work. They said I could send it back and they would "have someone look at it" I guess to make sure I wasn't lying about it. I spent $6 to send it back via USPS to the address they gave me. Several weeks went by and I heard nothing. I reached out again and they said they never received it. I told them how I sent it and where I sent it to. They said they would look into it. Three weeks have gone by and I haven't heard from them. It seems only their customer service is worse than their product.

I have not had it long enough to give the kind of review I would like to but I followed instructions and charged it by my pc first for 6 hours then I charged my phone using it and it charged just as you would expect it to. It's about the same size as my cell phone but heavier. I like the weight of it. The only negatives I have are, how do I know when it's fully charged by the sun? It has a power button for turning it on but I have no way to know if it turns off by pushing the same button because the lights stay on. I am really just slightly confused by the operation of it. Do I leave it on and in the sun all the time?

This is the perfect charger! Not only it charges my iPhone 6 Plus fully at least 3-5 times but also charges it incredibly fast (using port #2), and it has this neat 'stand' with it so you can use it while sitting down or laying down watching your favorites shows. I carry it with me every single day in my purse and I've already bought four more as gifts and everyone loves it! Two thumbs up! -Customer for life

Only used once so far, but this is a great device! Size is excellent, and product easy to use and really does what is advertised. Easy to charge and powered up my IPhone within about two hours!! I only gave it four stars instead of five, because as an avid backpacker (planning to use this for a 10 day trip), I would have liked some attachment hook or loop on the device to attach to my backpack for solar charging.

I was swayed by some of the higher ratings, but this pack was useless. If you charge it before leaving you can use it as a spare battery, but the sun never charged ours up again. We took it on two different camping trips, a total of 10 days. We kept it in all sorts of sun conditions and it never recharged in the sun. At this price point, it's not worth it.

I've had this charger for some time not and I can say with certainty this does not charge under the sun. As far as I can tell the only thing putting the battery under the sun does, is turn the little green indicator light on.I've left this for hours sitting on the dash of a car with no tint and in direct sunlight for a workday only to comeback and see it indicating at the same charge.I wanted to take this as a hiking tool, but it's completely useless to me in that regard.

The item came quickly enough, but in terms of quality construction, it felt very cheap. I worried that it was produced in a factory that was not up to code - there are little flaws in the construction. In addition, the English translation of the directions was all over the map and grammatically incorrect - in one instance, there was something about milk and cream not being near a device you are charging. Hmmmm.
