So i ordered this expecting to "get what we paid for". I also bought a more expensive float from target so each of my kids would have one and i figured if this one doesn't work they'll just have to take turns. Well, they ended up with one to share but it was THIS one. My kids are both young (2 years old & 10 months) and there were no tipping issues. The only complaint i have is that you can't choose which one you get. We got the dog and think it's cute but i'd really like to order another, i just don't want to get the same one.

Our little boy LOVES this thing. We received the puppy dog. We were a little sad because the others come with a little toy, but my son figured out that if you hit the head it squeaks, and he thought that was way more entertaining than any toy! It stayed floating pretty well. You do have to hold on to them when they're in it, cause if they lean even a little to one side, they'll definitely turn it over. The only big complaint I have, and why it didn't get 5 stars, is because they're two different sections to blow up and water pools in between the outer section and the inner section, so you are always finding water dripping out because it gets stuck in between the two parts, which is a little irritating. But other than that small annoyance, it does its job well, especially for the price. And it's super cute and my son seems to love it. Just wish it didn't have the two separate sections.

I had a lot of trouble finding a floatie for the pool for my 3 year old. Every thing I could find in a store was for infants or didn't have anything in the middle to hold the toddler in. My 3 year old can't swim and is nowhere ready for just a ring yet. We got the dog and he loves it. It held up all summer for us and will probably be good for next year too. He weighs around 27 lbs. If you squeeze the dog's face it squeaks which he found hilarious. The only thing is because of how it fits, he couldn't wear his life jacket while sitting in it. That wasn't a deal breaker for us since we are always right there with him in the pool. This could really be easily tipped so it should go without saying this isn't to be used unless you are right with the child while in it.

Perhaps I didn't read closely enough, but because it looked more like a baby pool toy, I thought this would work for my 15 month old. She's petite for her age (a little under 18lbs), and while she certainly can't fall through the leg holes, she can EASILY get herself out and plop right into the pool. We are there with her so it's not a big deal, but I was hoping it would be somewhere safe to stash her right next to me while I play with our 3 year old in the water too. Unfortunately it fits the 3 year old better. It IS adorable, easy to blow up, and the little one really liked the balls bouncing in the clear thing by the frog's head.

There are much better floaties out there for toddlers age 3-5 like ... Stearns Puddle Jumpers ... the toddlers that fit in this floaty liked to play in it, but NOT to use as an actual floating device - it's size makes it easy to tip over... do NOT put your baby or toddler who can't swim in this thing unless you're planning on holding on to it the whole time they're in it. It's not as safe as arm floaties or something else attached to them. Even as a toy to use and play with in the pool it wasn't safe, as my toddler kept getting her legs caught getting in and out of it and could easily have tripped in the pool. I would definitely recommend Stearns Puddle Jumpers for older toddlers(3-5).

Okay - I saw this and all the reviews and thought "how great can a pool floatie really be?". Let me tell you - my daughter LOVES this one. It lets her feel as though she's actually IN the water and it's secure enough that I don't have to hold on to her every second we're in the pool (I'm right next to her though). It's fun - the head squeaks when you squeeze it - and it's adorable. Worth the money!

Amazing quality.

I bought these to take on a trip to Mexico. I bought two thinking one would probably get a hole in it. My baby was 9 months old (big for his age) and he did well in this (with extreme supervision of course). My daughter (5 years) got quite jealous so we had to inflate the other one. She was pretty rough on it, going down water slides and jumping into the pool with it on. Both held up remarkably well. No holes, no seam tearing. they were dragged around pool sides and hung off the back of buggys for 10 days in scorching heat. Amazing quality and a good price.

These are perfect for toddlers to children. My son out grew his baby floaty and we were looking for something for our vacation since he wasn’t a good swimmer yet, but wanted a floating that still had the ‘crotch’ so there wouldn’t be the risk of his falling through. This product is PERFECT! We have been using it the past 2 years numerous times with no issues of holes. It’s great quality and fits bigger children up to the age of 5 or 6. Some reviewers complained about the fact there is no choice in which one you get, but that never bothered us at all.
