Long lasting and does not chip easily.
Excellent and lasts at least a week without chipping, deserves five stars but is slow drying.

Vegan, toxin free, cheap and pretty
What's not to love about Barry M's Under the Sea nail colours? This polish is vegan, non-toxic and also very affordable compared to other posh brands. The colours are gorgeous. Jellyfish is very pretty iridescent and subtle. One sheer or 2 thin coats works for me, without a basecoat because its not a dark, staining shade, and it lasts for ages with 1-3 clear LED gel topcoats on top.(This is how I do my nails - so much faster). Regular polish can be combined in use with gel polish, AS LONG AS THE REGULAR VARISH IS PERFECTLY DRY BEFORE APPLING THE GEL over it.The gel is very tough and flexible so it doesn't chip or wear and you can build up a nice thick protective nail coat so quickly with a curing light. (1 minute to dry each topcoat)... This method dramatically cuts down the time it needs to get thoroughly cured polish.Another big advantage of using regular-drying polish underneath is that after a week of washing up bathing and washing hair I find the the colour simply falls off in one piece , like a thin fake nail, without having to faff around with filing and soaking the gel polish forever with harsh acetone, or polish remover. I find that nail polish remover really dries my nails out too, but usually I pick it off that and it leaves a rough nail surface... either way, regular nail polish by itself wears badly, but most of all takes hours to dry and properly cure after painting more than 2 coats... base + 2/colour + topcoat, I just don't have the patience and after hours of effort end up wrecking h the manicure.I need to use a polish to help protect my nails so I can play the guitar.I really love these Under the Sea shades because they are so pretty to be worn with just one sheer coat. Other polishes don't seem to last quite as long under the gel.

Not the best
I didn’t like these Barry M nail varnishes…I had to put 2/3 coats on my nails before I seen any colour.I will be passing them on to my granddaughter as not for me.I ordered three colours and all as bad as each other.Re-capeI tried these varnishes again, and as long as you put 2/3 coats on them the varnish is lovely, had many people complementing me. So I’m keeping the varnishes now.

Butterflyfish is a very unique colour!
The media could not be loaded. Sorry for my dodgy nail polish application, it's been a while haha.So in the video and pictures you can see I have taken many different shots under different lightings and angles.I had to do 3 coats of this colour to achieve a somewhat opaque coverage. It applies nicely. The time it takes to dry I'd say is pretty average.I really like how odd this colour is. It is an icy blue with hues of pink, purple and gold. It is quite unique really. For the price I am really happy. Also with it being a vegan formula makes it even better as it fits into my vegan lifestyle.I'd certainly recommend this one if you're looking for something a bit different. Please let me know if my review has been helpful for you 🥰

Lovely pastel shimmer polish a little low on coverage if using neat
I bought these under-the-sea range of Barry M polishes for nail art, however as I usually do when trying out a new polish I did some neat.I found that the best effect, neat, was still to use it over a colour as it is really thin, and even with a white base, which sometimes helps colours pop, it still looked barely there.I use these to add a shimmer to areas where I would like my chosen colour to shimmer.I also bought a couple of others in this range and found this and the blue one to be best for this purpose, whereas the darker pink one has more pigment and therefore works best over a similar tone only.

Make It Part of Your World! 🧜♀️
Oop! Will update about longevity.Just put this on, am not used to makeup yet; love it!It's lighter and pinker than expected yet still gloriously beautiful and shimmery and reflects oceany blue in the light 💜Sandwiched 2 layers between Barry M's 3 in 1 base/top coat/hardener.Checked website: Vegan and cruelty-free.Recommended.Be the mermaid/merman/merperson that you are! 🧜♀️🌊 UPDATE! 🌊2 days later... My toenails and thumbnails still look immaculate. Paint on the other 8 digits has chipped. Not sure of this speaks to the paint or the 3 in 1 coat sandwiching it. To be fair, my day job is pretty physical, but even then I wear fabric gloves and rubber gloves for washing up and chores, so... Hmm... 🤔Personally speaking, it doesn't bother me much so I still recommend this, but knocking a star off 💅🦀 UPDATE #2 🦀A week later: Had a pretty bad nail break - ridiculously high up, so removed from all fingers, although, full disclosure: Am a little anemic so bear that in mind.Still going pretty strong on the toenails with only some minor chipping on the two I tend to turn downward. Miss the color on my fingernails though. Giving the polish 3 stars and not recommending the 3 in 1 at all, suggesting instead to seek out another one of those that's vegan (contains no animal products) and cruelty-free (product NOR its ingredients tested on animals: Remember, companies are allowed to lie and mislead consumers so choose a brand that's transparent about its ingredients. Leaping Bunny certified is a good guide).
