Solaron King Two-Ply Chocolate Brown Mink Blanket

This blanket is HEAVY. If you're looking for something light, this isn't it. The blanket is comfortable to sleep with alone or with a comforter above it (trust me, you won't need it).The sizing is pretty true and if you wash this *properly* before first use, you won't have an issue with shedding or pilling. If you don't have a large capacity washer / dryer at home, spend the hour or two going to a laundromat and wash it right to shake out the lint. The blanket will get even softer with each subsequent wash and i highly recommend alternating between no detergent and light detergent to max out the life of the blanket, and air dry when possible. Pros: Heavy, warm, luxurious, soft on the skin.Cons: It was quite a bit heavier than I was expecting, but as it's gotten colder that has worked out. Will have to stop using though, as soon as spring arrives. Also, I ordered the king size and it's smaller than our king size bed. It's long enough, but not quite wide enough. Perhaps better fit for a California king? Another 6" width would have been perfect.I ordered the chocolate brown color, which is more of a reddish brown than appears in the product photo.

Simply awesome... no shedding, great quality and very cozy. I have saved a lot on heating since all I need to do is warm up the room with a small space heater (about 15 minutes. Shut off the heater. Sleep nice and toasty (sometimes a little too toasty) and wake up to turn the heater on again for another 15 minutes before getting out of bed. I also bought a chocolate brown one for my dad... He LOVES it!. :)

I was looking for a heavy, durable blanket for my boyfriend and since I stole his other Solaron blanket I wanted to replace it. I based my purchase on weight and this one is serious, coming in at 13 pounds. It'll take some muscle to pull it up to your neck but it'll keep you warm on cold nights and sweating through your pajamas if you're sharing it. It's soft and just the right amount of fuzzy and exactly what I was looking for.

We like it, and in these polar inversion winters it keeps us warm. Overall a very good value. We just wish they wouldn't have scrimped on material. We have a King bed, and it's just not wide enough for our taste. It barely hangs over the edge of the bed on each side. Give us at least 6 inches on each side. But we kept it in spite of its shortcomings on the sides.

I got this as a Christmas gift. I had to come and write a review immediately. This is my new favorite blanket. It is so soft and freaking heavy. I love it!! I am going to try and find 2 more for my daughters they keep trying to take it . BEST BLANKET EVER!!!!

The blanket is amazing. It’s super warm and heavy, which is exactly what I wanted. Blanket came as promised. I’ve bought others that were supposed to be like this but weren’t of the same quality.

I love this blanket but with a caveat. It's a very substantial blanket. It's very heavy even when dry. Be warned. One might need help to launder in a heavy duty washer at the laundromat.
