Macross Revoltech #34 Valkyrie VF-1J Figure Robotech (Toy)

What caught my eye about this figure is that it's colored the same way as the battloid shown in the opening sequence of Robotech. But what I didn't know was the scale. In fact, on the box, it says, "Non-scale Action Figure from 'THE SUPER DIMENSION FORTRESS MACROSS'". This figure measures about 4.5 inches tall. The paint job is excellent, and you have four different hand poses: fist, holding the gun pod, a salute, and a "spread". The parts are made of a soft plastic. It's called Revoltech because it has revolving joints.You have to use the display stand in order for the figure to be upright. For standing poses, you put each foot into a peg on the display stand.Just looking at this figure is inspiring, and makes me feel nostalgic for those days in the 1980's when Robotech was my after-school TV treat!

Revoltech's VF-1J Super Valkyrie/Veritech is quite detailed for it's 4.5-5 inch height, looking very much like the Valkyrie/Veritech from Macross/Robotech. It's numerous articulation points allow for a wide variety of positioning. As noted in another review, there are also several hand positions available; even a hand for holding the gun in the left hand (for the neglected lefties out there). The hands are easily swapped out by gently tugging the current hands out of the forearm and inserting new hands in. The armor can also be easily attached and removed in the same fashion. The VF-1J can be displayed standing in it's display stand or made "airborne" via a holding peg that can be inserted in the back. While this product is listed as a toy, it's not for small children or for rough playing, and is recommended by the maker for ages 15yrs+. If you're interested in this product, I'd recommend it! It really is quite enjoyable!

This is one great showpiece for any fan out there. The paint job is excellently done and the extra pieces really allow for many customization options for someone to display. The Revoltech guys really do a great job and take great pride in their work and this piece shows. The articulation really allows for some great poses and I felt pretty comfortable moving the joints around. There are a couple of points that need to be noted however: 1. No instructions and 2. A piece did not fit on correctly. There reall should be some instructions (pictures at least) that show key points. For instance, how to attach and move the "mid-air" connection -- I almost thought I broke the black ball thing with the two connectors when it suddenly clicked. My other concern had to do with the one booster rocket in the back; I had one that fit into the hole correctly however the second one had a peg that was a little too wide to fit (I was finally able to get it wedged in there just enough to keep it stable and in place). Other than these two small problems, I am extremely happy with the figure although I do wish it was just a little bit taller/bigger (1-inch more).Pros:- Great paint job- Articulation- AccessoriesCons:- No instructions- One piece did not fit correctly- Wish it was just a little bigger

After I read so many negative reviews about the transformable Robotech figures, I decided to buy this non-transformable figure and I believe that I made the right decision, this figure is a bit small but high quality detailed, it's fully articulated, looks great as display, highly recomended!!

I have another one of these but this one is by far my favorite. There isn't anything functionally different about this one versus the VF-1A of the same type (i.e. neither are transformable) it just has my favorite look (head and markings). I felt it was a little pricey given the size, but the detail, accessories and options for customization are just so awesome. I missed out on collecting the original, larger scale toys, but these are a great consolation and cool addition to the collection.

As soon as I unpacked the figure and picked it up out the box, the right leg popped out. I think the factory must have made the peg too small (it is some sort of short, semi-circle peg), because it will not stay in the right hip. Oddly, the left leg uses a different, thinner and longer peg. No explanation for this. I will probably have to glue the right leg into place, which means that leg will not be able to rotate. Overall, not the worst thing in the world but it means even less "action" for this figure. The rest of the figure is fairly neat, if a little small. You can snap on various accessories and switch out the hands. The paint job seems to be quite solid on mine too. Overall, I would like it a lot more if the construction was perfect. The box is very neat too, and I guess I can always pop the figure back in the box and display it that way.

The sculpt on this model is very nice, and the molding is tight and crisp. My only criticism is durability. The pegs for attachments are fragile. In fact, a peg immediately broke off an attachment upon initial installation. I am a very careful person when it comes to assembly (long-time model builder) so I was shocked by the fragility of the attachment points. If one decides to order this model, my advice is to set it up carefully for display and never touch it again.

It's very nice but very small. For the price and considering it's not original, I would wait something bigger.

J'ai acheté cet unitée Revoltech.Bien qu'elle trône fièrement au côté de Goldorak et autres Mazinger, je dois dire que la qualité laisse à désirée.Les articulation sont particulièrement rigide. Il faut utiliser une force anormalement élevé pour déplacer les membres et le risque de bris est constant.La peinture est légèrement décalé et parfois effacé.Peut-être que je suis tombé sur un défaut de fabrication mais l'unité ne rencontre pas mes attentes.

It says 19.56cm tall. Its actually 12cm tall. That's a big difference. Not sure if I was sent the right model.

中古品を購入しましたが、大変程度の良い個体だったので良かったです。造形はそこそこ良く出来ていると思います。大胆なポーズも決められます。やまとの1／60 VF−1Ｊ（一条輝機）をファイター形態にして、本商品と並べてディスプレイしています。もちろん、CM'sの一条輝フィギュアやミンメイ、早瀬未沙も一緒に。
