Excellent game, fully in english. Also came with all the dlc without having to switch regions.

Before you buy this game you must know that you will only enjoy it if you:A) Like strategy games like Fire Emblem Echoes and Langrisser,B) Like resource managements, andC) You are fan of mecha anime, with Gundam being the bare minimum.The game allows you to play with multiple characters from different franchises, most being from Gundam (thus why it's the bare minimum) while giving you a a fresh narrative where all this characters interact without ever feeling force. If anything the game takes advantage to pull some wacky stuff that you easily understand without the need to watch their entire show to know what they are talking about.The plot is a bit more serious as you start at the beginning of the plot of "Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199" after Earth has lost all of its oceans from an alien invasion. It's principal themes being of not losing hope and trying to fight for the few that are still alive. You can chose between a male and a female avatar, each with their own background and personality that don't feel like cheap copy of each other, and easily allows for a second playthrough to see how the story differs from their own point of view.As for gameplay, the best way to describe it is a mix of strategy and resource management in the form of 'spirit points', or SP, that each character generates on their own and can spend to use special abilities like dodging an attack or gaining extra XP. It feels like cheating at first but later on you will have to decide when it's the best time to utilize since you will facing hordes of enemies and the amount of SP you generated is very limited depending on the build for each unit.The visuals are great, with each character attacks being a refence to one they did in their own show, especially those from Space Battleship Yamato that almost feel cinematic to watch. The only worst part of the game is the map's design. Outside of space all the maps that take place on a planet surface are ugly to look at. They are plain and boring and barely offer any type of strategy value. They are just a chessboard with a skin on top of so it doesn't feel basic.As I say, if you like strategy with resource management and you are fan of the mecha genre you need to buy it. You will not regret it, unless your unfavorite anime is one of the feature in this game. You are better off playing another in the franchise with the ones you enjoy. This is the real deal. Text is in English, works great on my NA Switch (not region locked, so doesn't matter what region your system is). Good stuff, right here. Sweet tactical mecha action lies ahead.

To be honest the graphic style always puzzled me; the series love to make SD versions of the robots, but it is mostly due to limitations at the time this series started. I would love to see a version with properly proportioned super robots; or maybe a Koei version of dinasty warriors with super robots. But for turn based games, this one is really funThe campaign is very long, each mission is quite a lot of work, but it is enjoyable overall. Will spend a ton of time with this game, going for all the various plots resolution. The game is not super hard, once you figure out what is more effective you will get going in no time.There is English text, so you can understand the story and figure out what all those menu say :)

Let me just start out by admitting that I am a huge fan of Uchuu Senkan Yamato.And the 2199 remake is a rare (only seems to happen in Japan these days) example of a remake done right.And so far, 15 battles in, the story's well and truly gripped me, even if these Mightgaine baddies are too silly for me to even pretend to take seriously.Was a bit of a wait for it to ship (may have been caused on my end) but then arrived two days before Amazon said it would.All in all, job well done, both Bandai Namco and the seller.
