2 Cellos - Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser: Luka Sulic & Stjepan Hauser – Revised Ed.

This book was just what my son and his cello teacher were looking for. They'd already started to experiment with the Two Cellos' arrangements, so this made their job much easier, although my son has identified some passages which are not as the Two Cellos play them. Some people have said that the arrangements are difficult - yes, you only have to listen to the pair on YouTube to realise that! Perhaps they should bring out a simplified version so as to encourage younger cellists.

These duets are wonderful, but very, very hard! If you're a very accomplished player then you'll have fun trying to reach the high notes (of which there are many), but you'll also find them incredibly complex rhythmically - this isn't at all a bad thing, just be warned that unless you're a very good Grade 8 standard, you won't even get near making them sound like they do on the cd!

This is a brilliant book but hard. I have just done my grade 6 cello and was inspired to dive it a go. parts I could play but a lot I struggled with. Unlike the 2cellos however the tune is written for one part and rarely switches between them.

These are not the original arrangements of the recordings. It's somewhat simplified. I would have prefered the original arrangements' cello parts.
