Great product with huge capacity
I wanted to cook a brisket successfully without drying it out, so I decided to sous vide it using a Kenji recipe on the Serious Eats website. I needed a large-capacity container to put my monster brisket in, so I bought this product. I just completed my 36-hour cook at 155F. The Anova container is a crystal-clear polycarbonate plastic, allowing me to inspect the brisket while it was cooking. The gasketed lid fits snugly on the container, preventing excessive water evaporation. It also comes with a metal rack I placed on top of the brisket to submerge it. I pulled out the brisket in my vacuum bag, chilled it in an ice bath, and was ready to finish it on the smoker. If you need a quality, high-capacity sous vide container, this robust product will do the job nicely for you! You won't be disappointed.

Incredible.
I have been using an Anova Sous Vide for over 10 years. While I was very hesitant to purchase this because I still actually believe that it is highly overpriced, I cannot say enough about how well it works. I just put short ribs in for 72 hours and never once had to add water and never once smelled anything. The lid has a seal around it that keeps all of the moisture recycling itself from the condensation on the top. It’s brilliant. The device fits perfectly inside of it. It feels like very heavy duty high-quality material. I still cannot believe I paid over $100 for this, but I’m really happy .

The best part of your sous vide setup
This tub is very spacious, and with the use of pinch clips, I had on hand, you can position the items you are cooking to keep them off the sides and bottom, and from touching each other so the water can circulate easily. The actual ANOVA sous vide cooker is a POS. My 1st one froze up and quit responding to both the touch screen and the wifi connection. My 2nd one lost contact with the wifi mid cooking!

great piece, with some considerations
Does what it is supposed to do. Maybe it was a little larger than I was expecting, but otherwise fits the job well, and fit another circulator, not an Anova. That was a plus. It is at least sturdy enough to pick it up and move it when over half filled, but does not feel strong enough to be careless with that, twist or just be rough. The rack seems mostly useless. I was expecting to have it be close enough to the water to hold packages under water when they start releasing some air or gases during cooking and begin to float more. For this to be so, it seems the tub must be nearly full of water, likely higher than the max level mark on my circulator, so not very useful. I guess I might appreciate a variable height setting, maybe a reversible rack with two different height settings. I did try using the magnets available separately but they did not seem to work well with the rack as I had seen in some illustrations, so just used them as weights and I guess that was ok. I should mention that I live on, and use it on, a boat, so both size and water use are a concern, neither being unlimited. I would probably buy again for shore home use, but maybe just continue with my old large pot for shipboard use.

Amazing!
Started off with a pot and then another tub made for sous vide, but it was just not right for us. They were a bit cramp for certain foods, i.e. rack of ribs and amount we cook for. However, this tub has a nice length, height and size. But because of the volume of water it holds it can take a bit of time to reach target temperature. To get around this you can add hot water off the stove or that you microwaved to meet desired temperatures quicker. It also has a bottom lip that keep the tub elevated off the counter. This is important to us because the bath gets hot.It comes with a top rack attachment that can keep those floating packages submerged, just make sure the water is filled high enough to do so. Note: the top rack poles only runs parallel with the length of the tub, no crossing sections. Because of this, if you set your foods lengthwise, there is a chance it could still float between the rack poles and portions of your food will not be submerged. Suggestion: I put a cooling rack under the top rack to keep everything submerged. just make sure your cooling rack fits in the tub.In short an amazing buy and my recommendation to you all! Btw we have the Anova Nano.

Anova Sous Vide Container
Nice. Works as advertised. My favorite feature is the lid design/silicon cut out. Helps reduce vibration noises. The "feet" on the bottom of the tank is a nice feature as well.It is much larger than anticipated. Would be nice to have a smaller unit as well, for smaller cooks.

Large Enough for Rib Roasts and More
I am very pleased with this sous vide tub. It was more than enough to fit my 4 lb rib roast. It can easily fit a larger roast than the 4 lb one shown. The cover fits nicely and snugly over the circulator (Anova Pro.) And the seal around the rim of the cover is snug enough to keep water from evaporating and keeping the heat evenly distributed. The wire rack for the unit is perfect for securing the bag/bags from movement. The only con is that you can't lift/move the container when it's filled with water. Overall, very pleased with this purchase.

It's great- and VERY large
I love sous vide. This works well, but it is just huge. I had been using a large stock pot, but this baby will hold maybe three racks of ribs. That reminds me- I need to make some ribs! It greatly reduces evaporation. I'd been using plastic wrap and foil with the pot. We have very hard water, and it reacted with the foil. This solves two problems for me. RIBS!
