The 1mm lines write nicely on padded paper but will glob
First things first- make sure you buy with the description and not with the picture. I thought I was buying a dozen black pens but instead, bought the mixed assortment. The colors in my box were 5 black, 2 red, 2 blue, 1 green, 1 pink, 1 purple. I don't know if this is the standard assortment or if they change it up with each box but thought I would share nonetheless. The 1mm lines write nicely on padded paper but will glob, so left-handers beware. Still, they're solid distinguishable colors in regards to ballpoint ink. These days, I write mostly with the Pilot Acroballs but, for the price and durability, these are worth their price to just have as spares in your car or garage. I still have one from a batch I bought over 20 years ago and it still writes. Not bad.

I can use purple pens, because I'm an adult.
There are certain things it may take a while to realize as an adult, simply because we don't think about them very often.Firstly, there really aren't a whole lot of things that actually require you to sign in blue or black ink these days. Most of the time, when you encounter one of them, there's an extremely high chance someone else will be able to temporarily provide a blue or black pen. For virtually everything else that isn't super legally binding, you CAN use purple ink.Secondly, buying an entire box of your favorite pen is totally an option. It can bring you a little smidgen of happiness. And despite the fact that you've been using that one purple pen with the cracked cap for approximately 6 years now and it's still going strong, you can be comforted with the option to retire it should you need to, secure in the knowledge that you have several identical replacements.Buy the box of perfect purple pens. You deserve it.

Great ink! Easy to hold! My perfect pen!
Best pens ever. Been using them for years, and will keep on using them as long as I can get them. The ink dries immediately, I’ve never had one get gloppy or leak, and the .07 one gives me the fine point for writing while still being solid and perfectly readable. They’re the perfect diameter for my hand, and since I write a lot, that counts for me, no writers cramps. Love them!

Pentel RSVPS are Perfect for Bridal Shower Favors
I bought these purple RSVP pens to use as favors for my friend's bridal shower, and they were perfect. The bride's favorite color is purple. I rolled up some shiny purple foil paper and inserted it inside each pen. I also made some for the bride with black and white paper. The shower guests could use the pens for writing their answers to games, and they each got to take a pen home.

Bleads profoundly!
I love the fine point and the color. What I experienced was pooling of the ink at the tip making big blobs of ink on the page which smeared if not allowed to dry long enough before turning a page. And it made a mess when writing between closely printed lines. But the worst was the bleeding outward on the page after a few months. I used this pen on the thinner pages of my Bible. What a mistake! The bleeding was so profound that in places I can barely read the original printed words. I will have to replace my Bible and rewrite my notes and definitions into another Bible. This was a costly pen. No other fount or pen has done this to any of my Bibles in my life. So use at your own risk. It will cost you!

my favorite pen for years, but...
Two things - the bar code on these is for the black ink and I needed/ordered blue ink, so had to return the box. very smooth return process, btw.I then was near a Staples so bought a pack of Medium point in purple, and was disappointed to find that the ink leaves a tiny bit of a "drip" in the lines as I write - a thicker line on occasion. I never noticed that in these before and have been using them for many years. From now on I will stick with Fine tip vs Medium.

My favorite pen of all
These are my all time favorite affordable daily use pens. I used these in college daily a decade ago and they helped a lot with writing kanji when studying Japanese. The reason for this is the fine tip is solid, and the ink doesn't run or bleed. This writes wonderfully when needing to write stroke order carefully.I'm left handed, so lots of pens' ink tends to smear and bleed and I have a completely dirty hand at the end of a paper. This one doesn't do that.In addition to the way it writes, this pen just feels really good in my hand. The round shape fits perfect and the rubber grip tops it off making it the perfect pen for me.If I could search for one negative maybe it would be the cap. When using the pen, I like to push the cap on the back of the pen. Some pens have a function that clicks when the pen cap is in place. This doesn't, so at times I have ended up pushing too hard or wearing the cap down and it cracked. This is a very minor gripe, I just wanted to find something to point to at room for improvement.I will continue to buy these, they are my favorite!

Random number of each color
I got the assorted hoping to get a more variety of color as pictured. To my disappointment, I got 5 black, 2 blue, 2 red, 1 pink, 1 green and 1 purple. At least I get to test out the pink, purple and green pens, and if I like them, I will order a box of the specific color. I love Pentel pens. They are inexpensive, and write so smooth. I gave up on expensive pens, mainly because they can be slippery to hold and refills are expensive. I love that these Pentel pens have refills that are available for purchase, reusing the body of the pen. This is great for the environmental friendly people. I wish they advertise the refills with these pens, and the refills come in the standard color, often black. I didn't even know there are refills until I came across it on local office supplies website.

You can't go wrong
I love these pens.I have pretty messy writing most of the time, but for some reason, a good pen/pencil makes a big difference. I don't know, maybe it's the grip of the pen, or the smoothness, who knows.Only 1 very tiny issue: I'm a lefty, so I get a LOT of smudging with these pens. BUT...they're worth it! (I place a spare piece of paper under my hand to cover the writing, it keeps it from smudging on the paper and onto my hand!)

Best Pens
I've used these pens for so many years, every colour. Being left handed I find they don't rub on my hand if I drag over, smooth, cushion is enough, I like the fine and I don't have nice writing so anything that helps make it look any better is great in my books.
