Good Room Mic, Not For Vocal Applications
This microphone is sensitive and will capture the entire room with great detail. This is great for recording drums or capturing the live feel of instruments. If you try and use it for vocals without a treated room, you will wrestle trying to focus on the subject. Again, it's a good mic, but it has limitations.

great for drums and specially acoustic guitars
I bought it but it is defective. So why I rate 5 stars. Well, for the first time in my life and Axe's music, we found a AKG defective. I know this mic and I can tell that it is a work horse for any studio (other than multi million studios off course). Ver clear mic, great for drums and specially acoustic guitars. Great sound for voices also but voices are different, you really need to try different pics any time until you have a good idea of frequency range in practical way. Back to the mic, I recommend akg and specially C3000 you will save a lot of time in post production and mics specially of you are a beginner on recording. If you have a home studio and don't know about mics but want to invest some money on it, buy this one, only this one. You will not regret. I bought it at Axe music and the support of the customer service is great so chose the store you want but i recommend axe. No i am not working for them, i am really a customer.

Very very disappointed
excitedly bought a expensive Mike....... Needed to buy cables...... Then realised needed a Power Box ..... STILL DIDNT WORK!Now after having spent around 18000 INR, I now am thinking of buying another mike altogether! What a waste of money and more than that 3months of time trying to do some home recording!!!!All items are in their boxes and are brand new state and the least Amazon can do is take them back and let me exchange all this for another mike!!!
