I never carried a knife with me my entire life - but I decided that I wanted one - and I thought why just a pocket knife only ? After looking around at some other styles, I decided on the Fire Talon - I am very happy with it - this thing is a very sturdy built multi-tool - it has the basics without all the other stuff that you rarely use. The knife blade is super sharp and you can open it with one hand - the blade locks in place good too. The lights are very bright - the rubber (silicone) grips adds to a strong comfortable handle if you have to get tough with something - the pliers are for real ! It is a slightly heavy to carry around in your pocket, but you get use to it and it will do some work. The only thing that I might voice a complaint about, is that the can opener is hard for me to open - maybe it will loosen with some use - the tool is just put together, tough, strong, and tight - all my buddies really like it.

After losing my SOG, I went for this multi-tool for two reasons. It has lights and it is less costly.For the price, its quality does not fall behind the more recognized brands. There are no negatives, but I'd recommend adding more tools and making it easier to open and close. Mine is tough to open and close.Another recommended improvement is how the blade is taken out, because in mine you have to push it to the side and then pull.If I lose this one too, I can get another one and still be under the cost of my previous multi-tool, which only had the advantage of filling more solid in my hand. However, the blade on this stays sharper for longer.

Had several Leatherman brand tools over the years and have no quibble with them other than comfort (rather DIScomfort) when using pliers. The Fire Talon is more ergonomic and doesn't dig into my hands if I have to put a real grip on something using the pliers. The LED lights at both ends are nice and bright which makes using whatever tool you need in low light a breeze. Haven't had it long enough to comment on durability, but it seems pretty stout. Nylon case is nice but I would rather have a velcro closure than a snap. Just my preference. for the money spent I think I have a winner!

I bought this item with the intent of beginning my arsenal of tools. It marks the start of a new Era of independence in my life. This gem is just the right size to carry on a belt, in a backpack, in a purse. It's great for everyday tasks. The pliers are very sturdy. All blades are super sharp. Clean cut through paper as if I'm using an exacto knife, slice through an apple with relative ease (obviously kitchen knifes are preferred for culinary endeavors but this saves you from doing the dishes let alone having them). Great for college students. Friends are thrilled. I've been asked where I bought it several times. People WANT it because it's an excellent multitool. Don't be a sqaure. The investment is worthwhile.

Being able to combine a decent flashlight with a multitool is wonderful. This device has a light for both ends, so you will always have it. I like the easy access battery slot for whenever I have to change that. The blade is sharp and seems durable after a few weeks of use. The device seems solid and well made. The only other thing I would like on it would be a fire starter, so I left the last star for that device. Very pleased so far.

I've had mine for a couple weeks now. Everything is solid so far but the Phillips bit is a bit rounded and should only be used in a pinch. Knife, flash light, scissors and everything else as expected. I can unfold the knife and fold it back in one handed so that is a definite plus. Pliers lock out with some force so they won't fold back on you mistakenly.Size: it is on the verge of being too big to carry in jean pockets but I have grown accustomed to it now so it's not too bad now.

Would have loved it if the knife would have closed properly and the light would have worked!!!But the knife didn't lock into place well, and the light never worked.The company said they would send me a replacement, but I forgot to reply to them accepting it :/Really was hoping to see what this thing (when working) was like...

I give it 4 stars because i just got it. Im surprise the lights are so bright. Nice feel and good stiched case. Ive read that the blades are dull and hard to oped, not the case here.Cut real well and the scissors cut anything i tried.Will keep in touch........
