"Ivory" is not 'white' - it is Butter/Cream/Yellow color
I will keep this blanket. I wanted a 'white' / 'cool' color. I chose "Ivory" from the Amz sample photos because the sample photo seemed 'cooler' than the 'white' sample. On arrival, my "Ivory" blanket is more yellow/cream/butter colored (actual picture attached). If you are designing a specific color scheme and need white, this may not work for you. It fits with my neutrals and I really like this blanket - but a cool-white would have been better than yellow-butter :)

Keeps me snug and warm without overheating
Nights in my house are cool and drafty. I get overheated under my fleece blankets and end up kicking them off and then shivering. I have layered this wool blanket between a sheet and a light 100% cotton quilt. I am warm and yet not overheated at all. I can sleep comfortably without having to shift and kick off covers. I have not washed it yet. I like wool and its somewhat crisp feel. As I said I use it as a layer between two cotton covers and you do not feel anything scratchy.

Quality blanket but I wish it was warmer
I've been wanting a good quality wool blanket for a very long time. And this definitely fits the bill. At this price point, if it wasn't, I would have been very annoyed. I was hoping it would be warmer though. I wanted to use just this blanket + a lightweight cotton coverlet for winter, since I don't like a lot of heavy blankets, but I don't think this will do. It's not warm enough for now, which is spring in the midwest, so it definitely won't be enough for midwest winters. It's not that heavy, so if you're looking for a lighter weight blanket, this will do it. It says that after multiple washings, the blanket should get softer - which I hope is the case. Right out of the packaging, it's a bit stiff and rough. Not scratchy rough, but not smooth or soft either. Of course, it's a wool blanket - and I've had scratchier wool blankets in the past. I'm using it between a 100% cotton top sheet and a 100% cotton coverlet, so it's fine, but I personally wouldn't sleep with just it.Overall, I like it. But I do wish it was warmer because now I'll have to find something else to put on top!

Best Blankets I’ve Ever Owned
Even though these are wool, these are a year round favorite, even in summer because the wool mitigates clammy moisture and just maintains the perfect body temperature, we bought a second one because we kept wrestling for it at night, worth every cent!! I have quality down comforters too but now that we have 2 the down rarely gets used, maybe on the coldest nights in February, we live in a cabin with a woodstove as our main heating source and good blankets are a staple, I don’t like polyester it makes me sweat, so these are like my favorite thing I’ve ever purchased, after 5 years of cold water washing the king has shrunk to a queen but it’s super soft and doesn’t matter much, thank Pendleton for making truly heirloom quality products

perfect in almost everyway
I researched washable wool blankets for months and realized my choices were few. My old wool/cashmere blanket is perfectly soft. I justified buying a new one to get away from dry cleaning chemicals and $50 per year cost. I wanted the softness of merino wool combined with the ability to wash the blanket. My conclusion is that my ideal blanket doesn't exist (I did not try the Faribault washable merino because it's considered a 3 season blanket and lightweight). When I ordered, I knew the blanket would not be soft, but it's rougher than I was expecting. When it arrived, I immediately washed it which took away the strange stiffness but sadly washing did not soften the feel. After sleeping with it for the past month, I cannot tolerate the roughness at the edge near my face. I have tried folding the sheet over the blanket but just doesn't work for long during the night. My only option now is to sew on a 2" satin seam binding (like Pendleton uses on the merino wool blankets). The weight and warmth are perfect. I wish I had realized that softness is so important to me before ordering.

Sleep better under WOOL!!!!
Ordered the blanket because it was washable. I thought this would also mean machine dry as well. WRONG! The product tag said to machine wash, and line dry. Who does that anymore???.........so I had to find someone who still had a clothes line that I could "borrow". That is the only reason for the 4 stars. My husband and I LOVE THIS BLANKET!!!!!! I am happy with this purchase even though the blanket is the scratchy type of wool. I will try to find and buy the wool blanket I was originally searching for when I purchased this one. I am looking for the soft wool that is both machine washable and machine dry. I know they have it at Faribault Woolen Mill in Minnesota and I am waiting on my friends to come in to make sure it is the one we slept under at a recent log cabin resort getaway. Unfortunately the Faribault blanket is also twice as much, but if it is the correct one, the quality is amazing and the wool they use is soooo soft you will end up buying one for everyone in your family. Back to this Pendleton blanket......my husband swears he sleeps better under this blanket than any blanket we have ever used. He does not spend time tossing the covers off and on all night, which results in a much more restful sleep. I believe the wool blankets "breath" and allows better temperature control. It is also light enough that I will be able to leave it on the bed year round. We keep our indoor temperature between 68-70 degrees year round, so this blanket will probably be used all year. Even though it is not the blanket I was originally looking for, I am happy with this and will move it to the guest room if I find the softer "merino" wool blanket that I had originally been looking for.

Good quality, super thin.
I love wool and I've been happy with my other Pendleton blanket. I have a blanket that's about 30 years old and it it's still warm and softer with age. Unfortunately I've shrunk it down to the size of a throw. Yes, yes, dry clean only, I know. This blanket seem extremely thin compared to my other one. If it wasn't for the washing, I'd stick with the thicker ones.Pros:- good quality- washable (I haven't yet but I'm hopeful)- wool is warmCons:- super thin
