I use this daily to run 3-4 miles weekdays and a 10 mile weekend run. It’s amazing! Fits really well and is extremely comfortable. Doesn’t move or dislodge across terrain. Great light output. I’ve previously had a top of the range really expensive headstock for running and this is far superior. Great value.

Very light weight and so easy to use. No massive battery pack on the back of my head compared to others I have used. It’s not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I’ve tried the cheaper ones and this is defo worth the extra money. Comes with a 5 year warranty too. Super bright for dog walking and has a sensor to adjust in a lighter area as well. Absolutely love it.

Perfect for working handsfree in the dark. Takes a while to get used to press button slider control, but has been fault free in use. Great max power beam, and adjustable at lower levels to suit working requirement. Strap takes a while to get used to, but holds light secure on head/ headwear. Green LED shows power state and quick to recharge.

This is a really nice torch: Comfy, bright etc. I can't really find anything to not like about it. It's a little brighter than the Myo that it's replaced and I reckon that it's good for 3 hours on the mid level reactive setting. I'm surprised by how well the reative lighting works as I didn't know what to expect, but it honestly works really well, for me at least. Yesterday I did have a bit of a panic when out on an evening run when the light began to flash and appear to almost switch off, but it turned out that a few head hairs were flapping in front of the sensor and the glare was causing the light to dim: Lesson learned!

It’s expensive but I like comfort and functionality. Used for dog walks and when looking for things in dark space. Comfortable to have on. My wife thinks it’s completely unnecessary and she’s probably right. But that goes for almost everything I buy….!

Bought this for use whilst cooking outside. The automatic adjusting brightness works well. Adjustable beam angle is good too as you can rotate it to point down. You can then work and talk to people without blinding them. Found operation a little fiddly until I got the hang of it. Am a bit thick though. I guess the only downside is it’s micro usb and these days most products are usbc.

Needed a head torch for walking the dog in the long dark winter nights.. this is really good head torch. On the brightest setting its illumination is excellent and so is the distance. I can highly recommend.

Excellent head torch, got me through the night on a single charge. Very comfortable to wear and small enough to fit under the brim of a cap. Reactik adaptive lighting is excellent so it’s bright on the trail in the dark but then dims to save battery when you come back into street lit areas or a group of runners with head torches. I was going to buy another battery as I didn’t know if it would last through the night but I didn’t need it in the end. Highly recommend 👌

With the recent heatwave in SoCal, I decided that I need to run at nights with a head lamp to avoid the heat and because I really abhor running on the treadmill at the gym. Also, I much prefer running the mountain trails than the road so I know I needed a powerful head lamp that didn't hamper my running. While I waited for the Petzl Swift RL to arrive, I got the BioLite HeadLamp 200 and 750 - 200 for road running in the neighborhood and the 750 for trail running but I found the 750 a bit bulky with the battery pack on the rear. I had to constantly fiddle with the strap to keep the battery pack in place while running.Overall, they are both very good and I'm happy with them but the Petzl is on another level in terms of comfort as well as performance. The Swift RL is brighter with wider and deeper light coverage and more stable during high speed runs through technical trails with steep rocky hills and abrupt turns. I was also able to set the angle of the light beams just right so I can see far and just below me without having to move my head too much. The lamp stayed in place and did not hamper my running at all. The BioLite HeadLamp 200 is definitely lighter and great for an easy-going run on the local roads at night but not ideal for the pitch black mountain trails at night.I have it on at full brightness all the time and the battery time is more than enough for my trail runs which typically last 60~90 minutes, depending on how much I feel like running. The Swift RL is easy to use, unobtrusive, very powerful, and quite comfortable. It will now be my go-to night running head lamp. Besides running at night to avoid the heat, I can now see that I'll be able to run in the early evenings or during the mornings during the winter when the sunlight time is much shorter. For an avid runner like me who runs 70~80 miles per week, this is a very sound investment that will pay good dividends for years to come and provides an excellent value. I highly recommend the Petzl Swift RL to serious runners who want to put in some miles during the nights or early mornings before sunrise.
