Therapy

I read this book based on a recommendation from a friend. All I can say is I couldn't put this book down. The story sucks you in from the beginning and doesn't let you go. I was guessing the whole time while reading, and there were many twists in the story. I would recommend this book to friends, especially if you like psychological thrillers. The book was a very quick read, it has short chapters, so you make quick progress. Definitely worth the money, such an amazing deal for such a great book. Hopefully some more of Sebastian Fitzek's books will be translated from German to English, such a great writer!

I really enjoyed this book. There was much that I knew early in the book as was intended by the author but so much more at the end that kept me intrigued. I’d recommend this book

The book has awesome story telling. Even though it was obvious almost from the start what was going on, it was still interesting to find our all the details. But I felt that the last chapter was not necessary at all or could've been different. *spoiler* What's the idea behind the mother getting punished for what she did? After all, it is only a lucky chance that he didn't succeed in killing the daughter. After this terrible ordeal, I think they deserved to have a new life. But now she will be in prison and the daughter has lost both parents. What's the point in this ending? I was disappointed (

This book is fascinating and truly thrilling. It's paced nicely, with short chapters that leave you hanging. Though the author is at times sparing, he does not sacrifice quality by doing so. As such, the book is well-written and quick-paced without being too wordy. The author allows the tension to build through the many twists and turns that the storyline takes such that by the last third of the book, you are glued to it. The best part was that the end was completely unpredictable (at least for me) and surprising. I would definitely recommend it to any thriller fans who want a well developed story without the gore or predictable ending.

I guess it's a good book as I read it within a few days. But SO scary (my opinion, I might be soft), this is nothing you'd want to read before a good-nights sleep haha :)FYI for whoever studies psychology this could be a great read - very interesting to analyse (all of Fitzeks books use underlying pathologies to drive the story)

This is definitely one of my favorite books. I couldn't stop reading and I was amazed by the ending...I can only suggest it to anyone who loves thrilling and catching books...

A great book

The translation from German, it is a light book but the story is complicated , the power of our brain and mental disturbances, the main character is a psychiatrist ,not well himself so it is hard to predict, the dis functional marriage , the lost daughter, the mentally disturb patient And psychiatrist set a scenario for disasters .well written .

The narrative is very slow and keep going in circles. You are able to know the end by the begging. After chapter 10, you can jump to the ending chapters without lost anything.Promise much. Deliver so little.

Sebastian is now my favourite author ever. I have only one left to read and then hope that there will more translated into English. I read this one in two sittings, it had me engrossed scared and confused all at once. What a lot of twists and turns, and the ending ? well i didn't see that coming. I loved it, now onto the next one.

I don't like it. Everything is made up without real motives. A story with hollow plot and reader feels stupid in the end for wasting time on it.

This was not the first book by Fitzek I read, but I liked it better than others (than Noah, for instance); the writing is intense, the plot is riveting, the author manages to create a dark and claustrophobic atmosphere which captures the reader and carry him/her into an hallucinogen trip.

Complete crap. Cliched. Makes very little sense. Don't waste your time on it. Wish I kept my money.
