Mondaine Classic Gents - Polished - 36 mm - white dial - A660.30314.11SBB

I bought a new one because after a couple of decades, my old one died. Please know, I live in Manhattan - NYC. I wear this watch everyday, to the gym, in the rain, snow, sleet, etc. I never have to guess what time it is because Mondaine put function ahead of form.

I first saw the Mondaine Swiss Railway Watch a number of years ago in Switzerland in the Geneva Airport. i was stuck by the ease with which one could quickly tell the time from a great distance. This bold and minimalist design looks just as striking on the wrist. If you are looking for a clean break from the hyper-complex approach of most contemporary watches, and if you value the ability to read the time quickly under virtually any conditions, this is a good bet. My watch has kept perfect time, and the price is quite modest for a timepiece of this quality. Introduced in 1944, this is a modern classic.

Sporting the Swiss railway design, this watch looks fantastic. The dial is easy to read in many conditions, even without your glasses. Minimal profile, light design makes it easy to wear.

My first order was for a 40mm and this was way to large. Return was very easy.Received a 36mm watch today (three days later) and am very please so far.Looks great!

I bought this watch because it’s just like the railway clocks in Berlin, without the little jump before the 12, of course. I tried smaller sizes but even on my smallish woman’s wrist I like the bigger size. I’ve had it over four years and have had no trouble with it. Did replace the band cuz I love the red “lining” on the Mondaine band. Ordered a new band and had it replaced at a jewelry store. Loooove this watch!

love the design, but for a man's wrist way too small. I ended up getting the so called "giant" faced watch and very happy with it-somewhat large but at least makes a statement. However i noticed on this watch and the "giant" watch that there is no plastic insert on the winding mechanism that when you pull it off the watch starts to run. It comes running in the box (ha ha) so you are not sure if it has been running for months in storage and the battery is about to die or what. For the price of the watch you should at least get a brand new battery in it.

Classic look. Simple design. Not the most substantial feeling watch. Lightweight. Printed dial.

With a history going back to the 1940s and possible links to the Bauhaus, this is a masterpiece of simplicity and clarity. The case is circular. The glass is flat. The dial is legible. The movement is accurate. Could it be improved? Yes, a screw-on back and screw-in crown would provide fully waterproof performance. Other than that, this is a totally satisfactory product which arrived promptly from the manufacturer, in perfect condition.

Diese Uhr ist einfach was Besonderes. Schön, schlicht, außergewöhnlich (wer hat schon eine Bahnhofsuhr am Handgelenk). Aber abgesehen von dem Thema "Bahnhofsuhr" - das Design ist das eigentlich Highlight. Ein Design, das schon so alt ist und trotzdem heute mehr gefragt ist denn je ist schon bemerkenswert. Reduktion auf das Wesentliche!Die Qualität und Verarbeitung stimmen auch. Das Lederarmband ist robust, der Verschluss (für mich) nicht Allergie auslösend.Schade, dass der Sekundenzeiger nicht mehr bei 0 kurz stehenbleibt, wie das Original.
