Better sleep through light, temperature, and monster control
The many reviews mentioning suddenly improved sleep patterns, especially in children, make perfect sense, if only because this product instantly blocks Closet Monsters. You can’t see them, they can’t see you. And yet, even though I vanquished my monsters many many years ago, I was surprised by sudden and near-miraculous improvement in my own sleep. Apparently I was more disturbed at night by streetlights and passing cars than I realized.Even though this is made of thin nylon, even though it’s really just a giant windbreaker, I also sleep more warmly -- on the north side of a drafty old house. When I awoke this January morning it was 3 degrees F outside. The room was 59 but inside the bed tent, outside the covers, it was a cozy 71. No more cold nose.It could be even warmer by throwing a sheet or very light blanket over the top. Nothing heavy, because it will collapse. It is flimsy because it has to be. It's a thin fabric cube self-supported by flexible poles and springs designed for light weight and portability. Support at the bottom comes from the mattress inside. The top of the tent WILL sag and tilt and torque unless bounded by the frame of a bunk bed, poster bed or equivalent.OTOH, none of that matters much in the dark.OTOH, because it is so springy, you can trigger an influx of outside (warmer? cooler?) air, by opening the end windows, then pumping the whole assembly like a bellows which can be done simply by poking the sides or ceiling with your toe.OTOH, shoving a metal grid panel (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TH3QESS/) between the mattress and the wall it stands against immediately corrected the tilt problem besides providing a sturdy spot for hooks to hang a CD rack. Some have commented on the difficulty of zipping it fully closed. The seaming for side panels and zippers may be a bit too tight on some. Rather than strain the zipper by forcing it around the curve, zip UP from the bottom. Or, just leave those few inches open for air. Air is good. One could pin a little towel or curtain there, if desired. As is, the gap is useful for peeking out at the alarm clock because the black fabric is too light-dimming to see the illuminated numbers through the wall. Before putting it up, locate the opening for power cords. Mine ended up with the power opening on the ceiling. The cord for a reading light passes through that unzippable part (which now, a month later, has relaxed enough to zip just fine). Not worth redoing, for that and another reason. Some reviewers mention the bother of rolling up the side, or snaps that have broken. Because mine is upside down, when opened, the side wall just falls gracefully down to the floor, hiding the Under-The-Bed books and shoes. So basically, it's an update to the canopy bed, not the tulle-draped Disney princess fantasy ones, but the old traditional life-saving winter ones. Our ancestors draped them with heavy curtains to survive winter cold by body-heating a smaller enclosed space. This would have been especially important if living in a big drafty house (even Ebenezer Scrooge invested in dark, heavy bed-curtains) or a windswept castle tower (like the children at Hogwarts). The Privacy Pop is an emergency / pre-fab / portable version of that or the traditional blanket tent under the chairs. For those concerned about the price, a simple frame with curtains -- even of nothing more than dark sheets -- would accomplish the same or greater privacy, light-blocking, and draft control. Still, the zippered design provides extra value.Zipping the openings shut is so much more firm and final than merely closing curtains that can be stirred, fluttered, or easily swept aside again by ghostly hands or zombies. Because the tent wraps around the mattress, it automatically blocks snakes and all other Under-the-Bed Monsters from crawling up and in. When I was a kid, my Under-the-Bed was home to the giant squid from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." My sister had the snakes from "Gunga Din." Today it seems to me that even those terrors would lose their power over the child (or adult) tucked safely inside this simple but magically protective refuge.

It was easy to set up- my only issue with it now ...
I bought this for my child who is autistic and had been hiding himself under the bed to relax in the dark- only to catch his hair on the bedframe and be miserable. We don't have a lot of space where we live and it's difficult to really carve out alone time when his sibling also is always 'right there'. So when we saw the advertisement for the privacy pop tent, we decided that we'd buy it for him for Christmas. It was easy to set up- my only issue with it now is that I rarely see my child because he loves it so much! Would purchase again.

Great tent for children on the spectrum
Fit perfectly on my sons bed. Mattress fit perfectly and with enough wiggles room to adjust. Not too tall either so it doesn't feel like it's overwhelming the room. Easy to assemble.

Great!
Worth every penny. Bought this for deployment and it has been the best purchase I've made to help me get through living with 12 other people. Yes the zippers are a little flimsy but I make sure I pull the pieces together before I start to zipper and they haven't broken yet, it's been 7months. I recommend

My eight year old Autistic son loves his Pop Tent! He promised he would sleep in his own bed if I bought him one. He has not been in my bed since. :)

GREAT idea & product!
This is a personal thing I think but if you like the isolation or need to sleep or relax away from the light, this is an amazing product. It sets up easy, seems sturdy and durable and I am extremely glad I found this as I use it every night. It maybe a bit over priced, especially for a big bed but other than that, I would even buy an extra so I always had one available. Can't say enopugh good things about this product.

Deployed Soldier without any personal space. This was a huge improvement to my quality of life and gave me a space of my own.
