Pump is fine, shame about the instructions...
I am using the pump for a waterfall and it is important that I can change the flow rate. I have achieved this by trial and error but as ever with many Chinese products, the producer cannot be bothered to get their instructions translated in to English. How much would this cost them? Still they use Google translate or similar and gibberish is the result.

Failed 4 months out of warrantee.... Update!
UPDATE,Failed about 4 months out of warrantee, and supplier is unable to provide any service or repair. Quite an expensive pump for just a year and a bit of operation. Should have taken note of the other reviews.Pump is clean and been used in just a clear water water feature, so had a very easy life, but not just brings up error codes on the controller, and stops the pump running after a few seconds. It was nice having a controller, but not a deal breaker, and this added complication is probably all that's stopping the pump working. Next time pump with a simple plug on the end, very little to go wrong then. For the size this pump seems amazingly powerful and very high flow rate, but I guess it is as stated and only ever owned pond pumps in the end with an outlet the same size as a garden hose! The instructions could be a little clearer and you do have a bit of a panic at first as it appears the pump isn't going to work or there is an error on the display, but a few restarts and/or carefully re-reading the instructions and your sorted. Not had any trouble at all since putting it in the pond, the very large 'outer' enclosure keeps large particles away from the pump, and as the pump can deal with large fragments, there is minimal cleaning to deal with on the pump. Not like ones I've had in the past with fine filters built into them. So now have this pump hidden under a grid with stones on top happen that I'm not going to need to touch the pump more than maybe once a year or so.The controller is a nice feature and it tucks away neatly as there is a really long cable. If you use the very lowest settings the pump will stall, so 30-43% power settings are best avoided but guess this will vary based on pump and the power of model. But very pleased to be able to bring the pump power right down just to keep the filter ticking over, and the bump the power up when running the water blade into the pool.Had plenty of pumps way back in the 80's and 90's and this is a vast improvement over those. Even if the pump only lasts 3-4 years I'd buy another.
