Surprising quality; on the heavy side
I purchased these to compare to my normal brushes (Regal Tip Ed Thigpen model). The all metal construction of these brushes makes them very different from the Ed Thigpen brushes, but the sizes (length, diameter and brush fanout) are very close. These are a bit too heavy for gigs that call for a lot of brushwork. I play a lot of assisted living facility gigs that only last an hour, but are 100% brushwork. These would quickly grow tiresome because of the weight even on those short gigs. However, if you are only occasionally using brushes these are not bad.The wire gauge is decent for most styles - not too thin, and the brushes stay put. What I mean by that is I usually play with my left brush fully fanned out and my right one with the fan a little tighter so I can get a nice legato sound with my left hand and a more staccato sound on the right hand pattern. My Ed Thigpen brushes hold those settings, but many other brands and models do not. These do.I play with brushes more than sticks, so I am probably not going to purchase more of these, but that is based on personal preference and playing style. If you need a decent pair of brushes for occasional work these are better than some of the name brand ones out there (in my opinion, of course.)

good but leaving too much to be desired
I am a professional musician and my brushes were ruined in my bag so I needed a quick pair for a Jazz Gig. The price on these is just incredible, and convenient there is no denying. The item is also of good quality. Sadly there are three major drawbacks if you want to use these professionally, as I can not recommend them for any pro drummer.1. They are too heavy but in the wrong areas, the actual brushes are no heavier than normal, but the mid section is quite heavy, this is not what you want for jazz as it creates auxillary noise2. The brushes themselves are quite flimsy, mine only last a single 3 day gig with some medium heavy playing before they bent or warped. It wont be long before they fall out, which a 22 dollar brush would most def not do.3. The little caps on the bottom are unscrewable. A terrible flaw that makes gigging with these a possible annoyance. My first gig with them and one of the caps unscrewed mid chart almost ruining the flow. These are cheap, good quality for 13 bucks and look good so go for them if that is all you need but if you play for money do not expect these to get the job done.

Exactly What I ordered but they’re Not good for me.
They are durable and do exactly what you want from them. They are heavy and the f your not very careful the sharp corners where the brushes come out will cut a hole in drum head. There’s nothing wrong with them but me not paying attention to my licks. I will not buy another pair of these.

Very good!
I ordered this for my daughter who plays percussion. She has really loved them. They are great quality and work well! I don’t know much about drum brushes, but I would recommend these for sure based off our experience.

Great drum brush for beginners and intermediates.
These work great for my 9 year old daughter. She can practice drums in the house now without waking up the baby. The bright colored handles are great, as it makes it easier to see them when they've been misplaced. The only down side is they don't come with a case.

Love how these retract, keeping the brushes in good condition.

Good choice for beginner
Arrived as expected, work as expected. Drumming is a hobby, and these were purchased for a beginner.
