Happy Happy Happy!
Don't want to describe detaily but this product is worth to be purchased! Though, u must understand this Webstar II is INDEED FOR LAPTOPS! Cause it will light "the face area" and no way using it as a ring light for making photos in large spaces like studios for example :)

Completely useless with a poor design.
The packaging was cute & it was easily to open. But that was the only positive thing about this product. I'm really bummed because I really need a product like this when camming at night. This is supposed to be be designed for laptops. But where there is supposed to be be a hole for your built in laptop cam to see through, there is rubber. The hole is there but there is also a rubber barrier. I guess I'm supposed to remove it? But it wouldn't matter. Why? Because when the light is clipped to your laptop it slides down onto the screen. I was concerned that would do irreversible damage if left on my laptop. The light itself rotates & is hard to set in place. It just turns to the side for no reason. There is no way to tighten it so it won't rotate. There is also no way to tighten the clap to prevent slippage. So I tried setting my webcam on the ring light itself so it's resting in the middle of the round light. This stayed in place after wrapping the camera wires around the light to jerry rig it into place. But the weight of the light made the light bend forward so much that I had to hinge my laptop screen so far back that I couldn't properly see the screen when the light & cam were centered on me. The light did this without the added camera weight on it as well. So it wasn't my Logitech webcam that was causing the problem. Then there is absolutely no on or off switch. When I plugged the usb cord into the light it would flicker on & off. This is with the cord already plugged into my laptop to give it power. I pulled the cord back out of the light & it flickered again. I could only get the light to stay on by pulling the cord halfway out of the jack on the light itself. So either the connection where the cord goes in was broken or they could have designed it this way but why? There was no direction included for me to know for sure.Lastly the light is soooooo bright that when it's on you have only see my nostrils & pupils. There isn't a dimmer to be able to do any adjusting either. So in conclusion, this light is completely useless! There is nothing I could use this light for. Lol.This was a gift off of my wish list from one of my cam patrons (I am a well known cam girl) so returning it would be pointless for me. I could have had him buy me a real ring light for my pro DSLR at the price he paid for this. I can't believe I'm going through have to throw $100 in the trash. I really wanted this to be the answer to my lighting problem!!! 😿
