Car arlam
Great car alarm with many features! Made with great material. Has to be professionally installed. A great affordable price. Overall a happy customer.

Does not work
The passive feature does not work at all. Hitting the remote button manually does cause the receiver to respond but it refuses to activate a relay. The manual states it's capable of 12 volt 22 milliamp relay. A standard automotive relay is 150 milliamps. Totally worthless. To late to return, money down the drain.

Horrible
1- it comes with no instructions for install2- nobody will install it because it’s a no name brand3- the box was shipped opened and it looked used. Nothing but stress and aggravation do not buy.

Warning junk with in
Garbage if I've ever seen it but worse I bought it, good luck if you buy it is recommend buying a name brand system one that's got a schematic would be a major upgrade to this pile of trash

Terrible documentation Doesn't work when its cold out
First and foremost and I cannot stress this strongly enough, unless you are at minimum at least a level 99 or higher auto electrical wizard, Run away from this product as fast as you can! The documentation it comes with is about as useful as it would be if it was written in ancient aramatheac text. And There are literally no videos of any sort on YouTube or anywhere else to shed any sort of incite into this thing either so if you buy it you are literally on your own, And i can pretty much guarantee no installer is gonna want to touch this thing with a ten foot pole either. Now having stated all those warnings if you still choose to move forward and buy this thing I will say this, for the price it has some decent features, two way remote is nice and is usually only found on much more expensive units. And the smartphone APP control is another thing you don't usually find at this price point. The remote lock/unlock seems to work adequately enough and the alarm side of it seemingly would work ok if you are in to that sort of thing, although I chose to leave the siren and alarm sensors out of it because of the overall dodgy nature of the unit and its complete lack of documentation and therefore customizability. I can pretty much guarantee if i had hooked these features up I would soon be loathed by every neighbor on my block for having a car alarm that randomly goes off at random times of day and night. As far as the installation of this device is concerned, I spent many hours with it on my work bench hooked to a power supply and using a meter to test the inputs and outputs all while trying to decipher the cryptic documentation (what exactly is a "Hook" sensor !??) and in the end just as I was about to give up and send it back to Amazon, I happened to be reading the install manual for a proper name brand unit that I was going to replace this one with and the light bulb in my head went on and some things started to make sense so I stuck with it and proceeded with the install. The aforementioned "Hook" sensor as described in the manual is actually for the "Hood" sensor which incidentally is not supplied with this kit but is a very important safety requirement! luckily I had one from an old car alarm someone gave me once and so I installed it, but if you buy this just note that it does not come with one and according to the pictures above it's not supposed to be included either. Also not included is an antennae, there is a long wire with a connector for the antennae on the end of it but no antennae was included in the kit and again it is not shown in the above pictures. Now it still works for the distances that i use it for using just the wire but it would probably be alot better if the antennae was supplied. The instructions do not talk about it anywhere but one absolutely critical piece of information you MUST have is that there is a jumper inside the unit behind a little sliding panel which you must cut if you are installing this in an automatic transmission equipped car. Again this information does not appear anywhere in the supplied documentation it is only stated in one of the pictures for the amazon add above, So if you are in north America where literally 95% of the automobiles sold since about 1973 have been automatics you must cut this jumper wire. The engine run hookup for the remote start feature appears to be setup to accept a 12V positive signal to tell the unit that the engine is running so you must find an output that has 12v on it only when the engine is running, most other remote starters allow you to configure this to use a ignition tach signal but since the documentation is so lacking there is no way of knowing if this is possible with this thing. There are 2 Auxiliary outputs but zero documentation anywhere to explain how they work. Normally on other units these would be used to turn on things like the rear defrost or AC remotely but since it is never explained how to actuate them with the remote I left them unconnected. Also missing on this unit is an Accessory output wire, This is how you would normally power up your heater blower circuit when remote starting. I used a separate relay to enable this function with my install so you can do it, but on pretty much every other remote starter it is an included feature. There are other oversites and omission's from the manual that I could discuss but this review is already too long so I will just cut to the conclusion. My install was on a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am. When all was said and done and after much trial and error and wasted hours due to poor and or nonexistent fundamentally important information I finished the install and everything worked as you would expect. I tested all of the features test drove it and all was good. I then parked the car outside. And now comes what is the biggest fail of this whole project...... After sitting outside in the -20C cold all night the next morning I tried the remote start and...... Nothing, the lights flashed as expected but no start. I tried it multiple times while sitting in the car and after hitting the start button on the remote the dash lights would come on, and the heater blower came on, but it would not send the start signal to kick on the starter. after starting the car manually and warming it up, the remote start would work fine. The next day when it was still in the -20's I tried again and same thing. The following day when it warmed up to -9 I tried it first thing in the morning and the remote start worked perfectly. So conclusion is anything colder than about -10C when you really really want the remote start feature to function and this unit doesn't work, maybe the internal relays they are using just aren't cold weather rated, Whatever the case is I now have an install that only works when I don't really need it and doesn't work when I do!

Don't bother
I've installed multiple alarm and start systems on every vehicle I've ever owned, and this just isn't one that I'd recommend anyone to own. The instructions make absolutely no sense, there's no comparison to even reference for a rough Idea as to what the wiring diagram is supposed to be. Solid pass
