Sig Sauer Kilo 1000 5x20mm Laser Rangefinder…

Seems to work well so far. I was ranging trees and hill sides up to 600 yards away. Sad to see it's made in China..

I read all of the reviews before making this purchase. This is the first range finder I have purchased and I was trusting the reviews and the SIG brand. The unit is easy to use and appears accurate (I haven't checked the long range accuracy but the close range is spot on).As stated in so many reviews the black recticle is hard to read in low light; I would think that could be a simple fix for the manufacturers. As a user you may want to pre range your hunt area if you plan on a low light hunt.I plan to use mine during full light situations for work and therefore this should not be a big issue for me.If needed I would buy this again.

This is a VERY good rangefinder. Its capabilities are on par with rangefinders that would be double or triple the price. Even though the description says its max range is 1000 yards, it will actually go out to 1200 yards (on reflective targets such as buildings). The speed with which it calculates is extremely fast, only taking about a second to range out to a thousand yards anything within 500 yards is instantaneous. I was pleased with how light and compact it is, it fits very comfortably in my hand and the buttons are easy to operate even with gloves. Another quality aspect is the ability to adjust the focus, this combined with the high-quality glass that was used for the lenses makes for a crystal clear view even in very low light conditions. the LCD display is very clear and easy to read except when in very bright sunlight, then it fades a little but is still visible and readable. The holster is of good quality as well with an elastic band closure that hooks securely into a plastic hook that is stitched into the holster. This is without much more secure than magnets, velcro, or a snap, and much quieter than the latter two, which is essential when your hunting. You're also not going to break the closure system without being intentional. the Sig Sauer Kilo 1000 is one of the best rangefinders I have ever used. As an avid hunter, archer, and long-range shooter I highly recommend this product!

Having never used a range finder before, I don't know what I'm missing so this thing works great. Got repeatable, accurate results - that's all I care about. I can read the numbers even in low light however but I won't be hunting in twilight so I'm al good.

I have used this for squirrel hunting (distancing trees) and it works very well. It's a recent purchase, so I have not used it for deer hunting and the need to use angle modification very much. I played with angle modification while squirrel hunting, but within 15-20 yards, you are not adjusting holdover. I just wanted to see the difference between LOS distances and the modification.I know this probably isn't the most helpful review, but it is simple, effective, and I have used it in the deep woods and it gets a pass.

This is a review of the Sig Kilo 1000. The optics are very good, the readout is instantaneous, and the display is cleared easy to read. For calculating distances to targets, this is perfect. Hard to go wrong with SIG Sauer.Delivery was faster than promised.

For a $200 range finder it was great. Read the complaints about the screen not being lit up. If you want the newest and shiniest then you will pay $500. Elk hunting started at dawn minus 30 minutes and had no trouble ranging anything out to 500m. It did more than an adequate job.

Accurate, easy to set up and use with its clear instructions, handy pocket size for range or field, very well designed as many European optics are, value for money.
