Great book to learn about nephrology. Its a classic and I don't think there is any better. All the nephrologists at my trauma center refer to this book as basic reading for anyone seriously interested in nephrology. And its not so dry you fall asleep after reading the same sentence five times in row. I mean, its not Game of Thrones, but for a giant book about acid-base, its pretty interesting.

I had read chapters of this book in medical school and things that a lot of physicians seem to misunderstand, such as water balance, are made so clear and explained so well, I had to have a copy. Anyone who takes care of hospitalized patients can benefit from this book as we deal with electrolyte and acid-base disorders on a daily basis. The best book I have read on this topic.

I wasn't paying attention and order this book thinking it was a newer version. I thought I was getting the book that had this cover but didn't notice that the description was an older version. As a student I thought it was the most up to date version and had pictures. I should have looked at the find print that it was an older edition. However it did arrive quickly and was in perfect condition. I was studying the kidney at the time so it had the info I needed. And the company was very professonal

I enjoy very much studying thiw book.Though it may sometimes seem difficult to undestand the pathothysiology, once one does that, the feeling is amazing !!!

The book was advertised as like new condition with few markings only in pencil. When I received the book it was in OK condition with markings in ink throughout the book hand written notes in the margins. Some of the underlined portions were so haphazardly drawn that it is hard to read the text. I wish that they would have been more honest when they described the condition of the book.

really some useful material for students (the first chapters), and clincians, i consider myself this book as a must have for those who are interested in the topic.

Though the book was advertised as an old one, it never looked like one. It was really a double bonanza (ie) inexpensive and yet with an untouched look and feel.

An impressively lucid and detailed account of renal physiology, with a close focus on the clinical causes and implications.It is intensely practical, with up to date references (at time of publication) and sifting exerecises at the end of each chapter.It is precisely what far too many 'nephrologists' have all but forgotten in their obsession with immunology, studying the aetiology of injury is all well, but without a text like this it's difficult to appreciate the intricacy, beauty and sheer majesty of renal physiology. Can you tell the difference between tubulo-glomerular feedback and glomerulotubular balance? - shame on the 'forensic pathologists' who can't! This book will provide rapid relief.

Un testo finalmente esposto in maniera chiara e completa. Gli autori hanno il dono, non scontato, di far comprendere concetti di fisiologia tutt'altro che semplici. Consigliatissimo a chiunque voglia avere una ottima base di fisiologia renale e degli equilibri acido-base.

Dentro trovate tutto quanto vorreste sapere sulla fisiologia dell'equilibrio idro-elettrolitico ed acido-base. Ogni affermazione è motivata e spiegata. La continua ripetizione attraverso il libro di concetti base permette di fissare la conoscenza mano mano che lo si legge. Altamente consigliato.
