Pentair FNS Replacement Grid assy. - complete FNS 60 (note 2) 195070

This was the second time that I have replaced the filter grids on our DE Filter. It turns out that these were the same model of grids that I had replaced some 6 years ago. Check out YouTube for best replacement suggestions, but you need to put the top manifold on the ground and insert the grids upside down, then wiggle the grids to fit into the bottom manifold slots (that is now on top and upside down). Use the threaded rod holes and guide hole to align the manifolds properly. Plan on about 30 to 60 minutes, take your time, and good luck with it.

Works great but I don't know if its a new version or what but doesn't look exactly like my old one. With that said, as long as it works and fits I don't mind.

The grids fit my FNS 60 Plus perfectly and now my water is clear with no sand. There is no mention of the brand in the description. The item is described as Pentair FNS Replaement Grid assy. (note 2) is referenced several times in the description but I cannot find "note 2" and the description leaves the impression you are purchasing a Pentair FNS replacement grid. However, my delivered box is labeled Unicel FS-2005 30" PAC FAB/AMER HAYWARD SET. There is no mention of Pentair on the box. The good news is the grids work and seem to be good quality. I dropped to 4 stars only because the description did not match the delivered item.

be careful, it was misleading to see Pentair brand advertised, and even the photo HAD a picture of the Pentair tag on the grids. (Since removed) You are buying a generic replacement grid available other places for at least $100 less then this company sells this generic aftermarket grid replacement. That being said, it does fit well and works, I have no idea of the durability and longevity compared to the OEM part.so, I spent $100 more than I needed to for a generic aftermarket product. with misleading advertisingbuyer beware. I was led to believe I was spending more for an OEM product and felt cheated.

My DE filter is 8 years old, and doing a search on the internet showed many places but unknown to me. Amazon seemed to have the right one but what the heck is "note 2"? I called the supplier and they said it was from their web page indicating it was for the older filter, like mine.. so I went back and bought it through Amazon since I wanted some option for return if it was not right. It shipped in on time but the document was a bit short on installation. Eventually through trial and error I got all the grids in the right place and then did a bit of a struggle to bolt the top and bottom. So far all is good. I have backwashed 3 times and its still good.

Had to modify slightly the lower base with a file to accommodate the outer thin edge of each screen. It will not effect future use. They seem to be very well made.

Product was delivered as advertised. Individual fins only; not complete filter unit. Assembly was relatively straight forward once I got the hang of it. Recommend you put the frame upside down when putting the unit together. Once installed, the filter worked great. My old fins had some tears in the fabric which allowed small debris to pass thru the filter. Not any more! Replaced the fins mid-summer; when I pulled the filter apart for winter the fabric was still in excellent condition.
