Or wrong connection is automatically disconnected and provides the necessary alarm 2."Fast" and "storage" mode "Fast" charge reduces the charging time, the "Storage" mode to control the battery termination voltage for the long term storage and to protect the battery life. 3. Data Save / Load For the convenience of the user, this product can store five different maximum battery data. You can save battery life Charging Data / discharge process, these data can be called when you need it, without a separate set of procedures will be able to achieve this step! 4. cycle charge / discharge Continuing the cycle can be repeated 1-5 times charge / discharge or discharge / charge. To maximize the activity of your battery.

Awesome Deal
Needed something I could control the discharge rate on DeWalt NiCd packs with in order to recondition them. Almost bought the other higher priced one that is essentially the same unit, just different labeling printed on the case. But then I noticed this ad. Works great so far. I did have to cheat a tad to get it to discharge though. 12v pack registers as 13.5v fully charged, so I had to lie to the charger by adding an extra cell in the program setup to get it to start discharging them. Then charged it back up with the DeWalt charger since I wasn't sure if it was going to stop prematurely at 12 volts when setup to charge 10 cells. Now it shows 14.5 volts fully charged. Granted this is primarily meant for RC LiPo packs, but a neat all around charging station to have around.

I don't know if its Me but seems like nothing but problems
I don't know if its Me but seems like nothing but problems. After one day the fan is squealing. I get constant warnings. To low to high can't do this can't do that. Getting frustrated. Most my chargers charge my 18650s to 4.2v well when trying to discharge to test ma h. I get battery to high. So why not let me discharge it? Why not have a simple selection to discharge any voltige. It restricted to many actions I think. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll probably just buy a different one.

Also check your voltage with a good multimeter; mine wanted to overcharge
I got this charger for $25 on a promotion. works as well as a $200 charger. you need to buy an external power supply, if you're not car charging. Also check your voltage with a good multimeter; mine wanted to overcharge, but you can manually set voltage on this device. I used a led power supply to feed it, and I'm charging a 3s 5000mah lipo in less than 40 minutes.

Three Stars
Compact unit with nice regenerative discharge feature which operates when the unit is powered from a battery.
