Helpful
The ads, of course, promote this product as a wonderful cure-all. It is helpful and comforting, but not the perfect solution to an intimate problem.

Finally!!
For years I have tried many products for dryness, used moisturizers made for other areas that sort of helped but never solved this problem. Tried prescription products, Drs. don't seem to hear when you say dry and always seem to think you mean sexual dryness and their are lots of products for that. Take note this is for external dryness, itching, irritation and if you have this problem you know the problem. Amazing results from the first use, haven't felt this comfortable in years, hope they never quit making this stuff, have used for about six weeks and plan to never run out. Literally has improved my life, now that problem is gone I feel like my old self.

Overpriced pseudo-science
I bought this product because it was mentioned in a New York Times article on sexual health for women past menopause. Stupidly, I didn't investigate it further until *after* I had ordered it. Turns out the sexual health expert, Dr. Susan Kellogg, is on the company's "Advisory Board", which means she has a stake in the product. The description of the product's secret ingredient, "cutaneous lysate", is almost entirely about how the stuff is extracted from "cells". It doesn't mention what the cells come from -- horse hooves? turkey combs? ox horn? -- or why this extract should be particularly good for vulvar healing. Apparently it was only tested for safety on 300 women, which is a pretty small sample. The main ingredient, after water, is octyldodecanol, which can be found more cheaply in other moisturizer products--there's nothing special about it. Alas, it is comedogenic--it clogs pores and causes acne. And indeed, after using Neogyn for about three weeks, I developed a couple of painful acne cysts where I had applied the cream. I have no definitive proof that Neogyn caused the zits. It could just be a coincidence. But it was the first time I've ever had a zit like that, or in that location. On the upside, it is a nice, soothing cream. It doesn't seem to have any lasting healing or moisturizing effects, though -- you have to keep using it twice a day to get any benefit. So I think I'll find something cheaper, with fewer mystery ingredients, that doesn't cause breakouts. I won't buy this product again, and I don't think you should, either.

Does not work.
Did not work for me. . .in fact, seemed to make matters worse. I agree with other reviewer, save your money.

COMFORTING CREAM
This cream does a good job but is extremely expensive. I definitely recommend it but docked it one star for the cost benefit.

It's an okay product. The relief I got didn't measure up to the price so I'll just continue to use the store brand I used previously.

Very impressed!
I bought this for my niece who had been having a lot of vaginal pain that wouldn't go away. The medicine her gynocologist prescribed (I don't know what it was) hadn't helped, and she was really starting to get worried. She was rather skeptical that Neogyn would make a difference, considering that it was something her aunt had purchased on the Internet. I was skeptical myself, but had read some impressive reviews and figured it was wortha try.A week later she called to tell me that she was feeling a little better, even though she wasn't doing handsprings or anything like that. I mean, the problem hadn't gone away. However that was about two and a half months ago. Just last week she and I spoke on the phone, and she mentioned that the pain had gradually gone away completely! She said she'd been using the cream regularly, and had not been using any other creams or medicines. She's convinced it was the Neogyn.

very disappointed
This product is very expensive for something that worked so poorly. And, to have to wait 8 weeks to work totally is not acceptable when you're in discomfit. I gave up on it and bought K-Y Silk (with Vitamin E and Aloe) . It gave immediate relief, Using it morning and night for a week did the trick. I now use K-Y once a day and no longer have the burning and itching. Neogyn Vuvlar Cream is not a good choice for me. K-Y is much less expensive and did a much better job.
