It fit the generator almost exactly and we way to install.

I could not find a replacement tank for my 2006 Apollo diesel generator tank so I took a gamble on this one. I had to make some brackets to fit as my original tank was smaller, and the diesel return line goes through the fuel gauge window (I drilled a hole for it). Looks light duty but works fine.

It was easy to install and fit the frame for our Chicago Electric 65414 generator. The tank looks to be slightly smaller but for our use that's of no concern. Our only concern is if the fuel tank shut off is going to leak if we don't get a longer hose to attach to it. In the current position to fit the hose we have, it doesn't feel like it is a tight seal and that it needs another half turn or so.

First tank cracked in the bottom at one of the sharp stamped areas. I assumed it was a flaw in that one tank. I purchased another tank and a crack developed in the same location after immutable 2 days of operation. This tank will not hold up to small single cylinder engine vibrations.

Where is the rest of the tank. I think I have the 3 gal version and I hope they ship the rest of it to me soon. Took a bit of fabrication but I got it to install. Turns out that they are not so universal after all. The contours at the bottom of the tank did not match my generator so I had to make it work by spacing it higher than the original by almost 2". It does hold fuel.
