Indoor Outdoor Thermometer Wireless Weather Station Digital Hygrometer Temperature and Humidity Monitor with Current Time Backlight and Outdoor Sensor

This item works perfectly from the moment the batteries (a total of 5 AAs) were installed. The range is somewhat limited for me, but that is because my greenhouse metal structure probably grounds out some of the broadcasts of the remote sensor. For the price, this unit is outstanding - better than excellent, and it has made it possible for me to see what the temperature is inside the structure without leaving the house and looking at the classic thermometer that is inside it.For those who never used one of these before, be aware that the sensor unit will take up to an hour to adjust its inner temperature to the surrounding atmospheric temperature and be "accurate". Since I owned one similar to this unit in Arizona (and it lasted through roasting temperatures for years) I learned quickly that if you replace the batteries in, say, the home unit, be prudent and replace the batteries in the remote unit - just makes sense.If you are comparing the temperatures of this unit with those of another so-called standard, you must realize that what you used as the standard may actually be inaccurate. Unless you have a tested and assured temperature reader that you are comparing this unit's measurements to, you cannot really write a review stating that it's readings are inaccurate.Obviously, I am very pleased with this unit and have several comparing thermometers and a thermostat that prove its readings are accurate.

Had to return the unit due to limited range for picking up the remote sensor on the main unit. Remote sensor info displayed correctly up to approx 10 feet. After that, '-'s were displayed on the main unit (tried both indoors and outdoors). Rescanned channels, switched channels, and replaced the batteries. Still did not work correctly. Disappointing as the units (main unit and remote sensor) were very accurate.

Pros: priceCons:1. shallow area for hanging is not deep enough for a medium nail or screw head so even with a picture fram kit and hardware it barely stays in the wall2. Very dark display means you must press the light at the top to see the numbers3. The light stays in for only a few seconds, not long enough to really read the information4. See number one. As a result of the poor design, when my senior citizen family member presses the light the unit falls off the wall5. the back of the unit is curved not flat so wall mounting tape will not properly help secure the drives to the wallThis was a gift for a senior citizen. I’m beyond the return period so stuck with it. If using on a table with the built in stand in a brightly lit room it would be okay.for a few more dollars I could have purchased a legitimate work station from a trusted brand. Not recommended.

I was very pleased with this thermometer - while it lasted. It very easily and quickly paired with the outdoor sensor - and worked very well.After about 2 months, however, the outdoor sensor stopped sending readings to the base station. The LCD display on the sensor became garbled, with all the digits displaying at once.I can't recommend this product. I removed batteries for 30 minutes, then put in new batteries - no luck. I spent a good 30 minutes on chat with Amazon's tech support - there was no resetting or fixing the sensor - it had simply failed.

This is exactly what i was looking for! The weather apps don't give me an accurate temperature in my area. Our weather doppler is up on a mountain somewhere and it always says it's cooler than it really is. Well my suspicions were proven true after I purchased this thermometer. The indoor temps are very accurate and are in line with what the Nest Thermostat says. The outdoor one is also very accurate. I determined that by comparing it against my car's thermostats.The backlight is great and the touch interface is very nice as well leaving you with only one button on the entire thermometer. Overall great product

This unit worked fine as long as the indoor and outdoor units were close to each other. However, if you put them more than 15 ft apart the outdoor temp will not display. I tried all 3 channels and had the same result.I returned mine.

The outside reaings take a long time to refresh, if the back light is being utilized to see those outside readings , multiple cycles must be used because in between fresh cycles which again take a long time, the light goes off. having to turn that light on so many times will likely reduce battery life.

I like the wireless outdoor thermometer. Sometimes it looses the channel but is easy to get it back. Screen is dark, so I have to put it closer to see it. Not sure why it has a screen light that has to be manually turned on, but overall this seems to be a great product for the money. Battery is lasting well in the outdoor sensor. I see the batteries are just about dead in the indoor thermometer/display. They have lasted around 6 months.
