Fel-ProHST 9071 PT-1 Head Gasket Set

I rebuilt a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT1 with a LA1 3400 engine that I bought with 193k miles and it was abused! It was leaking at all gaskets (head, lower intake, upper intake, oil pan, ect.)I usually purchase FEL-PRO gasket sets and was very pleased with this one - it comes with all of the gaskets needed for the engine heads and up. I also had to purchase a timing gasket set and oil pan gasket.GM put cheap plastic lower intake manifold gaskets and this set comes with nice metal ones which are much nicer and I have used these Fel-pro gaskets in several GM cars (2000 Bonneville SSEI, 2002 Impala Base 3400) where GM put crappy plastic gaskets in an it does work like a charm!I am very happy an would readily purchase from Fel-Pro again.

It was a good set of gaskets which is what you expect from Felpro. It had all the items needed for a top in rebuild all in one kit.

FYI>>> For those even looking at this gasket set, THIS IS the Upgraded gasket set that GM does use to do this job (Upper end Repair) This means, Fel-Pro has seen this issues with these engines and has Changed some of the material used in the gaskets, but also added many other improvement, to aid in Sealing, Torque Specs, and a other different issues OEM has had with the other set Set. WOW, if you are thinking about doing an upper end job on a 3.1/3.4 Gm V6, (60 degree V6) this is the set to have, and believe me, even at the best "Rock Bottom" price, buy it here and save at least $50.00...not kidding folks, I did ! PLUS, most likely stock at your near by parts store...you will have to "Special Order" (meaning you have to pay shipping, as well not able to take it back if there is an issue. Have over 200,000 before my head gasket went. After doing all my research, i bought this set, as well as the Head Bolts (must replace them) which was cheaper than, just this Gasket set, from Nation wide chain stores....After the fact, am back up and running darn well. (just in my case, I have better MPG, as well as a bit more HP..just a little) but rather happy when all said and done... Highly recommend the Fel-Pro gaskets and head bolts...(What else are you going to use? ... Where are they made? )

They worked well for the vehicle they were purchased for. These were the brand that were recommended to us as opposed to the OEM. Went on and fit as expected.

The kit for the head gasket replacement was perfect, it had all the parts needed to replace the heads including the parts for the valve job done while the heads were removed. It included the silicone gasket material for the ends of the intake manifold and all the small parts needed for the entire job. Nothing was left out. I would recommend this kit for anyone having to repair a leaking head gasket upper engine rebuild. Even included things like the EGR valve gasket and thermostat gasket. Exhaust system gaskets were also in this kit. I save at least $40.00 over the best price at any of the local parts suppliers. Highly recommended.

Haven't used it yet, but I seem to have all the pieces that I've removed and a few that I did know to remove.

I used this set for a 3.4 engine in a 2003 Pontiac Montana with a blown head gasket. This was a nice gasket set, absolutely every possible gasket was included, and the intake manifold gaskets were steel backed instead of the factory nylon. I'd use it again if working on a similar engine. I've been driving the vehicle for a couple of weeks and not a single drop or leak anywhere.
