Easy Installation
The instructional video and the instructions that came with the package made the wiring installation easy. Really good price and very good quality. The wires are hidden so it looks nice. Perfect fitment!

Easy to install
Added to 2019 Nissan Rouge. Used power wires by jack compartment to power up. Placed in line fuse at that location and remove the fuse when not using. Follow instructions for easy installation. You won’t have to run a wire under the car to the battery if you have the wiring at the jack compartment. Nice, remove jack cover and install fuse when needed. It’s been recommended to remove the fuse as it uses power to the black box. If the car is not used daily it might discharge the battery.

Easy install on 2009 AWD Rogue. Did not have to run power wire
Excellent product works exactly as stated. Installed in a 2009 Rogue with AWD.I followed the directions of the YouTube video entitled "Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Nissan Rogue". These directions were spot on. The removal of all of the trim, while a little time consuming was very straight forward. If I were doing it again it would probably take 15 minutes to remove the trim. The wiring connectors were a little challenging to remove given how they were secured but by looking at the connectors that came on the new wiring harness you can see how they release. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, some Rogues came with an unused factory power connector for a trailer light kit. Luckily mine did as well. This was in the back, on the driver's side next to the spare tire (about 8 o'clock from the spare tire, taped off to the other cables. I found that the blue wire works as your power wire once you put the fuse in (remove the air intake snorkel under the hood. There are two fuse boxes. You want to one further forward. In this box there is an open fuse slot labeled "trailer". This makes the blue wire hot). The small grey wire on the same connector did not seem to be a suitable ground so I used the grounding screw location shown in the video. Not having to run the power wire removed the part of the install that most people here had an issue with. All in all, a very good product with an easy install.

Good Product
Got this for a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The product is great gave it 4 stars only because of installation. Although not hard to install it does take time and can be frustrating. Instructions and YouTube videos don’t match what I seen removing interior trim so it could lead to some frustration.

Time consuming but worth it.
Trailer lights work thanks to this product. I just wish I knew ahead of time that I didn’t have to run the power wire to the battery like the instructions said. That took a lot longer than installation should have and it was a pain. I wasn’t sure if it would work so I just did what the instructions told me to do so that way I knew it would work. That alone is a huge inconvenience in itself. Other than that, I have no complaints. Aside from spending most of your time removing plastic trim and running the wire to the battery, it was a simple install. Another thing they mention is that you only need to pull the trim back a little bit but your best bet is to pull the entire trim off of both passenger and driver side so you can efficiently reach the taillight housing connectors or your wrists and arms will be squeezed from the tight space between the plastic trim.. You don’t need to have much knowledge in electrical wiring to be able to figure the installation out considering you just have to plug in the connectors in the taillight housing where they go. It’s pretty user friendly. I definitely recommend this wiring harness kit.

This seemed like a great improvement from the old days of forcing ...
I had innocently believed that modern cars were pre wired with a connector to allow a simple 'plug and play' arrangement for trailer harness wiring. This seemed like a great improvement from the old days of forcing pins into the rear wiring harness. Alas, things are not so simple. The car manual doesn't direct you to any 'trailer wiring adapter' socket because none exists. You need to remove the inside body molding to access the connectors to the rear lights and then place an intermediary connector on both passenger and driver's side. If you have removed plastic vehicle molding before this is not a big deal but if it is your first time it can be intimidating. The bigger issue is that a DC wire has to be run from the battery to the module that feeds the wiring harness. It is tempting to use the cigarette lighter outlet if one exists in the back but the fuse and wire size will likely not be adequate. So you need to connect the supplied cable to the battery and run it under the car and into the rear area somewhere. The instructions with the packet are clear and everything you need is included, but things are far more involved than I had anticipated. For somebody who works a lot on cars, no big deal, but for someone expecting 'plug and play', watch out.

You don't need to run a cable all the way to the battery if you own an SV model
Others have commented about this but I wanted to add more information about using the dealer option fuse and connector to get power back where this gets installed. If you watch the install video for the sport addition they identify where you add the 30amp fuse in the engine compartment. Do NOT buy that model of curt wiring kit. Buy this one. My fuse was not installed and labeled 'dealer Option'. That then provides 12V power back to an unused connector with the blue and light brown cable. The regular installation is the same for the non-sport tutorial. One other item, when not towing, the Curt unit draws about 0.75Amps. I think overtime this may drain a batter if you leave it sit for long. The nice part about using the light brown wire for power is the fuse connected right behind the panel where the car jack is. So you can just unplug the fuse if you don't plan on towing for a while. In my case, I will leave the fuse in my glove box and install it when I need it.

Works perfect
Not drilling. Just plug and go. Well, it took some time because we had to bring the wire under the car and open some panels in the trunk but the connections were easy.

Went on without a hitch 🤪
I have no automotive experience and I could say that with the installation videos available online and the comments here, this was easy peesy. Get yourself a cheap trim removal kit on amazon and terminal crimper.Like other comments have mentioned, Nissan most likely has already prewired the car to make it hitch ready. The wires are light brown and blue on the driver side and come with a connector attached. All I did was crimp a male spade terminal and plug it into the connector that is already there. The rest is plug and play!

So thankful for others reviews!
Worth checking out if you're rogue is prewired! As seen in the photo [drivers side in behind the panel (can reach this from the compartment door that opens just for checking - look top right)], another review told me to look for this and I am so THANKFUL! All I needed was to put a 10amp fuse in the dealer opt spot under the hood (friendly mechanic at Nissan verified this for me too) and the brown wire had power! All I needed to do was connect the black wire to it. Saved so much hassle of trying to run a wire to the engine battery! Product installed so easily - great YouTube videos by CURT for the installation of their products!
