Replacement Batty for ASUS A41-X550 X450

So as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. And if you know what to expect, it's hard to be disappointed. There is no way that this low cost battery would perform on the same level as the name brand battery which cost about 4 times as much, so keep that in mind.For the money I paid, this replacement battery does what it needs to do. I did not expect it to last more than a couple hours on charge, or last more than a year or so, but the first one I bought did work relatively reliably for about 2 years before finally dying. I just bought a second one. It's a perfect fit in my old aging Dell laptop, which we keep in the kitchen to look up recipes and do minor non-processor heavy things. The computer recognizes the battery and is happy with it. It doesn't get real hot or produce smoke or do anything worrisome. I keep my laptop plugged in 99% of the time.As long as they keep making this low cost battery, I'll buy another one as long as my old laptop keeps on chugging away.

Well it will be a year next month that we bought this battery and that's about how much life we got out of it. Now it will go from a full charge to dead in about ten minutes. At its peak when we first bought it we could get maybe an hour out of it when fully charged. Not too bad considering the cost compared to a new Dell factory battery but still would have expected more life out of it.

I order this originally 2 weeks ago... got the first in 2 days cause I'm a prime member. I plug it in and turn laptop on. I immediately get a message that says battery not recognized. I do a bunch of research which says the battery is bad I message retailer cause I'd like to give them a second chance. The email me and conform the battery is bad and say they'll send me out another.... I get the second and it has the same problem... so I returned them.

We followed the directions, You need to plug in and charge it and drain it a few times. Read the directions. So far so good!Updated review: This battery only worked for about 4 months the and it's so dead that the clock has to be reset before we can use it. We get a dead battery message and if the power source isn't plugged in the laptop dies. Battery is not for long term use.

Once again, you get what you pay for. I needed a new battery for my Dell 1555 laptop. This seemed to fit the bill. I've been using the battery for about a year now and I'm not impressed..... at all. I'm lucky to get an hour of use out of a fully charged battery. In retrospect, I should have gone OEM or with another battery provider that I've used in the past with excellent results. Not recommended!!

Much better than nothing. I am using it with dell studio laptop. It provides enough power to stream a movie for about an hour. My battery died while still on warranty and it was replaced with no hassle. So it provides a fair value for the money.
