Excellent+ kit! (assuming you can de-solder/solder, and follow direction precisely)
Subject says it all. This kit turned my MIM BJR from decent to Excellent, it instantly got noticed by the musicians at the start of my last gig. Way more headroom, way better tone in every way, a giant step forward for this already pretty-good amp. Lovin' it.Note (and the instructions say this): if you only have a cheapo soldering pencil that isn't temp controlled, and/or if you don't have previous experience de-soldering and resoldering on delicate PCB board, and super-importantly if you don't already explicitly know how to drain capacitors of voltage, ok to get the kit but have a local pro do the work...you eliminate the REAL risk of death-by-shock and also reduce the risk of trashing a nice functioning amp.I'm not a jedi, it took me about 3 hours of careful work, turned it on and wow.Good luck and most importantly stay safe, go slow, be uber-precise.Highly recommended and props to Fromel for the top quality parts and clear instructions. (Kudos as well as the late great billm)

Very Solid Mod
I picked up an older Blues Jr that was sold to me as a Blues Jr III. Curious to know what the differences were, I stumbled across the mods "Bill M" came up with. After trying to get in touch with his son (he has passed away, but his son still runs their business) and not being able to, I decided to go with this similar mod kit from Fromel. It took about an hour to install and I'm very pleased with the result. My amp is a lot punchier, fuller sounding, and has a lot more tonal range all without losing the character of a Fender blues/jazz amp. This amp pairs very nicely now with my ES339 Pro. My only complaint is that the instruction photos are a bit grainy and hard to see what's going on.If you are planning on getting this kit, also pick up some alligator cables, silicone glue, solder wick, flux (for the solder wick), cable ties, a sharpie, and a good lead solder. Tools needed are a nice adjustable soldering iron (don't cheap out PLEASE), flush cutters, a high voltage multimeter, and needle nose pliers.

Great Mod and great customer service
So, this is the first mod I’ve attempted and I couldn’t be more pleased. Made the amp really quiet and warmer...I just look forward to playing it so much more.Instructions were pretty straightforward....just take your time and be conscious of your soldering iron temp. Fantastic bang for the buck I think.

Nice upgrade but was missing pieces
Some observations:1. Very detailed instructions. This kit includes a power resistor to discharge caps2. My kit was missing one piece. Quite disappointing since I only find this out only after I opened my amp and started modding3. Kit instructions assume you know how to solder, unsolder and understand how to identify components and their values4. I did not notice tone difference (supreme kit)5. I did notice tubes running significantly cooler6. I did notice more power from 100uf cap - previously my amp was choking when I was playing along with the kick drum of my loop station

Recommended upgrade for Blues Junior owners.
Installed this in my Blues Junior FSR. Although it comes with an excellent set of instructions, it is assumed that the installer has a certain degree of electrical knowledge and soldering skills. Some parts are not exactly the same size as the originals, so modifications were necessary to fit them onto the board. In my case, a few new holes needed to be drilled into the board to accommodate two of the capacitors. Nothing complicated, any decent tech should be able to handle this kind of thing without issues. But if you don't know one end of a soldering iron from another, best to farm it out to a good electronics tech. That being said, these mods really worked well. They cleaned up the noise problem I had at full volume, which I figured was due to a weak power supply capacitor, and really brought a nice clean tone out of the amp.

Great mod, must have good de-soldering skills
Fortunately, I have a friend who is a professional music tech (EARS Audio, handles emergency repairs for acts appearing at Madison Square Garden, etc.) He was able to do the entire mod in under an hour. Sounds great. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE UNSOLDERING - A LOT - HAVE SOMEONE ELSE DO THIS. He has a $600 de-soldering iron that takes a couple of seconds to remove the solder. Using a braid or suction would be a nightmare. Also, be VERY careful of the pots. They're pretty crappy, so don't strain them. The instructions could be better, as it's tough finding where a couple of the resistors go, but you'll find it.

Blues Jr tune up
I noticed a difference right away. Clean sounds are cleaner and there's less hiss.

Nice Upgrade
Added this Mod Kit to my Blues Junior III FSR "Chocolate Tweed". Definitely made more bass, and midrange available as well as smoothed out the highs. The amp also sounds A LOT punchier than it did before. This kit will take a nice sounding amp and make it even better. I also had the opportunity to talk with Fromel Electronics, and their customer service is amazing. Very helpful! and a nice kit.
