I'm not sure you can beat a Best Maid pickle. Having grown up in TX and since moved away, I order these whenever I'm feeling a bit home sick. Tasty as always and the heat can't be beat. It will light you up if you snack on them on their own. They taste fantastic on burgers too.

So I LOVE hot dill pickles. I buy Hot Mamas all the time but I am always looking for hotter. I will spend up to $20.00 on one jar just to try them in search of that actually hot pickle. THESE ARE IT! These pickles are no joke. Ther are warm and will leave you with that burning in your mouth. You definitely are gonna want a glass of milk with these and/or some salty chips. I find salty chips helps combat the heat. Honestly forget about the rest of the reviews that are bad and just buy. I buy two jars every two weeks and never had one broken. They also within the last two weeks changed packaging for how they ship. It’s very sturdy now. Let me put it this way..... I have purchased over 200 things from Amazon in one year and the is the first review I have ever left as these are so good and worth it!!

These pickle slices are hot. That's why I bought them, and the heat is fine. But they are so salty that they are, to me and one other tase tester, inedible. I had one, my son had one, and we liked the heat but agreed that they were too salty for human consumption.Because this two-jar pack is non-returnable, we composted the opened jar's pickles and recycled the jar. Because it was a two-jar pack, I still have one jar to give to my father-in-law, who pours salt on everything, the next time we're able to travel. Apart from that, this purchase was a waste.

I worry about buying pickles online because of glass breakage.These hot pickle jars were packed great!I had to taste them. They had just the right amount of heat.I plan to buy again.

I'm a pickle fanatic who is also obsessed with spicy food. I'm always looking for hot pickles. I've seen a lot of people online talk about these but Best Maid isn't sold in my state. I've tried their regular dill pickles, though. These have the same flavor and texture as those. Just with heat. If I were to put the heat on a scale of 1-10, 1 being Flamin Hot Cheetos and 10 being Carolina reaper, I'd put it like a 6. That is to say if your idea of a spicy pickle is like a Claussen or a Grillos, these are probably triple/quadruple the heat. But if you're a spicy lover who is used to heat and sometimes struggle to tell if something is spicy or not, you'll really enjoy these.Pic with hand for size reference

Pros:I appreciated the packaging (as shown in my pic) to keep the jars safe during delivery :) The pickle slices were somewhat crunchy, maybe better if you put it in the fridge. They don’t taste very spicy at first, but as you keep eating more, it leaves a spicy aftertaste in your mouth.Cons:My family and I thought the pickles were WAYYY too salty (to be eaten alone at least).I wanted to try these over Van Holten’s Hot Pickles since I wanted slices rather than a whole pickle in a pouch, but I think Van Holten’s is better in terms of flavor/saltiness.
