Comfortable On Hand Leash handle
We needed a handle for our leash that was given to us for Christmas. The leash just had a clip. The leashboss was perfect and is comfortable on the hand. I recommend this highly. I have a dog that takes off to chase cats and squirrels and this does not hurt my hands to hang on to the dog

Thrilled
I am a retired trainer/handler and have seen and used many a K9 product over the last 40+ years. I have a treasure trove of items that I can dive into to use but, based on my current physical issues, I decided on purchasing a new leash that would give me control and comfort via length and a padded handle.I wanted a short leash to attach near the raised handle of my dogs service vest and this fits that purpose PERFECTLY. I leave it attached for quick and easy use. I can tuck in under the raised handle or let it dangle. It is light weight to not bother my [in training] service dog in any way. It is very comfortable to hold and does not fatigue the hand (which is important to many a handler especially if they have a physical issue). The Nylon is softer to the touch (yet stronger) and your hand doesn't feel like it was just sanded down like some other brands. The padding is just the right amount to provide comfort and the stitching doesn't present a stiff ridge/edge. This further demonstrates that the company uses good quality material and that they thought out their construction.I use this leash along with their 3X leash (another item I absolutely LOVE and now find that I could not live without). My Service Dog (in training) is a 10 month old English Cream Golden Retriever (75# currently). The leash(s) can handle all her power without a flinch.I have read some reviews about chewing and twisting. As a trainer/handle I feel a responsibility to comment but only to help. Chewing is not the dogs fault nor the products. It is the responsibility of the handler to teach the dog what is acceptable to chew. This is a lesson far more important than people give it credit. It is for the dogs safety, plain and simple. If your dog is allowed to chew on anything that has his/her curiosity, it could easily start chewing a dead rodent that was poisoned resulting in your dog being rushed to the vet, or getting sick from plastic, cigarette butts etc. Dogs walking down the street, in parks (even good, clean dog parks) can pick up used needles, condoms, the list is endless. It happens no matter what neighborhood you live in or visit. Even in your home, chewing on electrical wiring or the cabinet door, shoes etc. Any of this is not only dangerous to the dog but costly. Simple training will stop this.As for chewing on a leash, again, training. The dog wants control, so it chews on the leash to sever your control. This is a clear signal that the dog does not view you as the leader. So, again, training. It is really simple to stop these behaviors it just takes a little time coupled with dedication to changing a few habits and then you will find yourself with a wonderful companion that you can enjoy and trust without frustration or worry. So when someone gives a low rating due to chewing, that is not legitimate. The product is fine, it is the training/handling of the dog that is the issue. As for twisting, again, simple, pay attention to what your dog is doing. Most often it is because the dog is playing aimlessly (without direction). This isn't fair to the dog. They need structure even in playing. It gives them security and therefore comfort and confidence. Give them direction in their play, engage them. Some twisting is going to happen no matter what product you use but knotting and twisting to where it bounds upon itself, is due to the owner. So again, not a legitimate review.I am sorry if I sound harsh (as I read back on this) but my current time doesn't allow for a passive approach nor was this a real training lesson, it's just a "lets get real about the problem" opinion. For what it's worth, I am extremely pleased, no thrilled, that I found this product and will continue to purchase products from this company.

Perfect to keep my dog close to me
I added this to my set-up of already having my leash that I have around my waist connected to his harness. I have an unruly little guy…anyway, I did have one small issue, this shorter traffic leash that I attach to his collar or harness would drag on the ground when I wasn’t using it to reel him in. So I threaded the handle through my waist leash, so it no longer drags. Problem solved. When the occasion inevitably arises, I love hanging onto the handle, it’s so comfortable and I feel very secured that no matter how much thinks he can lunge at others that he can’t get away from me. Champion leash👍

Nice short leash
It is sturdy to hold my pug at a closer distance on our walks. He is one, and he tends to pull, so this helps me to work on that. I actually wish the handle wasn't padded, as I find it makes the leash harder to hold. But, all in all, I am satisfied.

Nice lead but not thick/strong/heavy duty for larger dogs
Nice lead but no where near as thick and sturdy as I’d expected from the description and reviews. I have a ridgeback x and was looking for a replacement heavy duty lead. This was very thin and is basically a normal lead i’d use for a small dog not a strong medium to large dog.
