The best, full stop!
I catch a lot of fish I clean a lot of fish and I eat my fish. I’m 65 years old and I’ve been fishing and eating fish my whole life. This is the best fish scaler ever. Period

We can't say enough good stuff about these scalers!
Love these scalers! We were so happy to find them on Amazon as the little bait shop we had found them at years ago closed up. If you fish, you must have a bunch of these. No scales flying. We can actually clean fish in the house without scales flying everywhere. We found out that you need to make sure to keep your fish moist before scaling them. If they dry out, it makes them much tougher to scale.

This scaler works surprisingly well. The best part is it doesn't send scales all over. The tool looks like a piece of toy, out of fairly hard molded plastic construct. My thought is that the design shows a good understanding how the scales are attached to the fish skin: no need to push off completely in order to remove, only a small amount of lifting is necessary. Therefore it works efficiently and leaves little mess. As a result I don't need to stoop down to work inside a sink, can just work over the counter.

BEST SCALER OUT THERE
cleaned 12 bass in record time this weekend. Best design i've ever seen in a scaler. No flying scales and the perfect angle for easy scale removal. Most times in one swipe.Had one of these in the 80's and not sure why i ever tried anything else...

Stops the Flying Fish Scales
I would give it a 5-star for the no flying fish scales, it really does stops the scales from flying everywhere. I bought this because I just wanted to see how good this one will work compare to one I already have and find that it is not as fast as a scaler I already have. The front end is like the front of a shovel it's the sides that have the spikes. It's very durable. I works but now I use it just to get the scales off narrow spots and head it works very well for this purpose.
