loooove it
Once again this series is great, I love how the characters aren't afraid to get dirty and how HIVE explores the dark side instead of the classic good guys. The plots twists never stop, and I just couldn't put this book down! I love the characters and the series is addictive!

Great to get kids reading
My son, 12 years old, and daughter- 11, love this series. I actually haven't read any of the series myself but as my kids read the books I get constant updates from them about what the characters are doing. Their both really picky about what books they want to read and what keeps their interest long enough that they will actually FINISH reading the book. This series does it. So I'm grateful to Mark Walden and H.I.V.E for getting my kids to read!

Better than 5 Stars
My 13 years old read this book as a follow up to the Hive Books 1&2 that she had to read for class. She's blowing through the series, devouring each book as soon as she has itShe says she likes that "there's so much going on" and "a lot of action." She also likes that each character has a lot to their backstory, and while there is a lot of violence (Mom, it's about villians, of course there's violence!), she says it's not terribly graphic - claiming its tamer than Harry Potter Book 7 battles. She recommends it for kids her age, who are into stories with depth and nuance, but maybe not younger kids.

"Truely Amazing"
I just couldn't put my Kindle down! It truely captured the attention of my sister and me with the perfect mixture of suspense, drama, action, and adventure. Mark makes yo feel as if you're really there and in the moment. It was one of his best works of lituature (this is coming from a 12 year old, mind you). It was so intreeging, I finished it in two days flat. Mark, if you are reading this, take it personally. I bet you could write a whole other series. Or a book from the other side...the evil side of the villans.... Never mind...ignore that. I was just dreaming things up.

Better and better
I cannot believe that Mark Walden can make this series improve with every book. Even Suzanne Collins can't compare to this series. I don't know what he's going to right about in the next novel. Now that Number One is gone I don't know where Mark is going to get the plot, but I can't wait to find out. I do, however, think that the whole "dead but not really dead" thing has been overused. Keep reading this series.

My daughter and I both enjoy reading these books
My daughter and I both enjoy reading these books. The idea that a group of super villains actually ends up doing more good for the world, rather than evil, is a fun one to explore.

Great series. Great book.
If you read this series from the beginning you won't regret it. Each book keeps getting better and better. The series as a whole is amazing, fantastic world that has been created by Mr Walden. Each book as an individual however complement each other some are fantastic. Some aren't as good but still great. This book was one of the good ones. I would recommend reading from book one though so that you understand what's going on. Basically, Nero the head of H.I.V.E is kidnapped by a secret government organisation called H.O.P.E. There aim is to show the world who and what Nero and his companions are. You join Otto and the gang three months after the kidnapping. Nobody has heard anything from Nero or Raven. Otto himself is trying to come to terms with being able to interface with computers. The school gains a new headmistress, an old enemy! On top of all this they are trying to find Nero. This book is full of twists and turns. All made complete by the characters we've all come to love. Still containing the small flashings of humour that help this book to be great. Oh and the ending, how could I not mention the ending! Epic is all I'm saying. You get to learn things in this book that I'm sure you've been wondering from the beginning. Things about Number One and Otto and other characters. This book is as good as any of the others. This series is among the best. Read it.

Very Good book
I really didn't think Walden could come up with a better adventure than The Overlord Protocol, but he's done it again. When Nero is captured by the supposedly-good H.O.P.E and someone who no one expected to return becomes the head of H.I.V.E, Raven (who has just arrived from a mission) is forced to evacuate Otto, Wing, Laura and Shelby from the school and join forces with Diabolus Darkdoom -Nigel's supposedly dead father- who takes control from a massive submarine known as the Megalodon. However, it soon becomes apparent that the Overlord, inside Number One's body, is behind the whole plot. Otto is Number One's clone, designed as a perfect host for the Overlord. Otto only narrowly escapes being taken overwith the sacrifice of H.I.V.E mind. Meanwhile, H.I.V.E. is under attack by the executioners known as the Reapers, the fights ensues as the teachers are shut out of H.I.V.E's systems, finally when all hope is lost the Contessa sacrifices herself to save the school by setting off a massive puddle of jet fuel.Yet another exciting, page turning and gripping book and I would recomend it to anyone who has read any other H.I.V.E books and anyone else also.
